USS Ronald Reagan CVN-76, or USS Reagan for short, is the 9th ship of the U.S. Navy's Nimitz-class nuclear-powered aircraft carrier and the first combat-capable aircraft carrier of the U.S. Navy after entering the 21st century.

The two sides of the USS Reagan adopted a double-deck hull structure from the bottom of the ship to the hangar deck, and the X-shaped component connection between the double-layered bottom effectively solved the problem of self-protection, further improving the armor protection and multi-layer compartment protection.

The deck and hull of the Reagan ship are all made of high-quality high-strength alloy steel, and the steel plate in some parts of the side of the ship is 63.5 mm thick, which can effectively defend against the impact of semi-armor-piercing bullets; the steel skeleton and steel plate crisscrossed by the whole ship are welded together to form a closed hull, which effectively improves the survivability.

The USS Reagan has a total length of 333 meters, a flight deck width of 79 meters, an entire deck area of 18,000 square meters, a standard displacement of 97,000 tons, and a full load displacement of 113,000 tons. It can carry 85 warship-based fighters of various types, equipped with two Westinghouse A4W nuclear reactors and four steam turbine engines, with a power output of 260,000 horsepower and a maximum speed of more than 30 knots.
