Chen Gui pod old man

At the end of the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, there were still many people in the Chen family who were on errands, such as the county magistrate as a master and the township as a security chief.

For example, Chen Qingcheng, born in 1920, is 96 years old this year, and he is still deaf and clear in his memory at nearly 100 years old. Chen Qingcheng joined the Kuomintang army in his early years, and in 1949 he went to Taiwan and served as the mayor of Fengyuan City, Taichung County.

What makes Chen Gui pod most proud is that his son is a professor at Chongqing Technology and Business University. His son, Xu Jiang, was born in 1973, studied for a doctorate after graduating from Sichuan University, and taught at Chongqing Technology and Business University after graduating with a doctorate in 2000.

From this point of view, the Chen family in Longdong Bay is full of talents, and during the Qing Dynasty, there were people in the government, and when Zhang Zhidong came to Qianjiang, inviting him to write an inscription for the Dragon Cave in his hometown should be an easy thing to do. The Longdonggou Moya stone carving is the most likely to be the handwriting of Zhang Zhidong.

In the thirteenth year of Tongzhi (December 1874), Zhang Zhidong went to Youyang Prefecture to preside over the examination, which lasted for nearly a month. At that time, there were 4 jianzhan and su stations in Qianjiang that received xuezheng. Zhang Zhidong was stranded in Qianjiang. He searched for Jasic and the famous mountain Dachuan, climbed the Wuling XianShan to worship the True Martial Temple, and left famous poems. This experience became the most important time basis for the inscription "Dragon Cave".
