1. Divide according to the growing season

Commonly used cold season lawn grasses are: rye grass, high fescue, shearing, grass early maturing grass, purple fescue and so on. This type of grass in the south is often afraid of high temperatures and will die in the summer, and needs to be replanted in October to bring you a green life in winter.
2. Divided by different families
It can be divided into grass grass and non-grass lawn grass. In the past, lawn plants were mainly composed of grasses, and in recent years they have developed into non-grass plants.
Grass grass: accounting for more than 90% of lawn plants, shearing grass, ryegrass, early maturing grass, knotweed grass, fescue genus lawn grass are all grass family.

4. Sort by height
It can be divided into low lawn grass and high lawn grass.
Low-pitched turf grass: common ones are knotweed, fine-leaved knotted grass, dog tooth root, bison grass, false frugal grass, carpet grass and so on.
Tall lawn grass: common are tall fescue, early maturing grass, rye grass, shearing and so on.
5. Divide according to the width of the lawn blades
It can be divided into fine-leaved turf grass and broad-leaved lawn grass.
Fine-leaved turf grass: common ones are shearing, fine-leaved knotweed, early maturing grass, bison grass, fine-leaved fescue and so on.
Broad-leaved lawn grass: common are knotweed, carpet grass, false frugal grass, high fescue and so on.

It is to sow cold season grass species such as perennial rye grass and annual early maturing grass on the warm-season lawn before the arrival of winter.
