Based on Ben Macintyre's book of the same name, Blood Gangster creator Steven Knight's new BBC drama SAS: Rebel Warriors will begin airing next year in six episodes.
The film focuses on the birth of the world-famous Special Forces Force, the Royal Special Air Service Regiment (SAS), and how it ushered in a new era of special operations.
"From the most difficult moments of World War II, a group of flawed, bold, maverick soldiers formed a special unit... The story is about a secret history, a real event, where brilliant soldiers fight and win, and then disappear back into the shadows."
The cast includes Connor Swingell, Jack O'Connell, Sophia Poultry, Alfie Allen, Dominic West, and others.
