As a full-line control project, the Shield Tunnel of Jinxiu Tunnel was launched, marking that the construction of Chengzi High-speed Railway has entered the accelerated stage.
The total length of the chengzi high-speed railway is about 176 kilometers, the design speed is 350 kilometers per hour, starting from Chengdu East Railway Station in the north and passing through Chengdu Tianfu Station, Ziyang West, Qiuxi and Weiyuan to introduce the Zigong Station of mianlu high-speed railway. The project is managed and constructed by Chenglan Railway Co., Ltd. and is expected to be completed in 2023.

After the completion of both lines, Chengdu to Kunming will form a high-speed rail line with a speed of 350 kilometers per hour. Passengers departing from Chengdu and driving along the Chengziyi high-speed railway and the Yukun high-speed railway can arrive within 3 hours, which is half the time it takes to walk to the Shanghai-Kunming high-speed railway.
