According to Yonhap News Agency, another 18-year-old main criminal in the "Room N" case that detonated South Korean public opinion, Kang Hoon, was publicly sent for prosecution, which is the first time in South Korea's judicial history that the information of juvenile suspects has been disclosed. The Seoul Jongno Police Department handed over Kang Hoon to the Seoul Central District Prosecutor's Office on the morning of the 17th. In the face of reporters' questions, Jiang Xun remained silent the whole time except for apologizing. At the meeting of the Criminal Suspect Information Disclosure Review Committee the day before, the police decided that, in view of Jiang's meticulous criminal methods and the heinous circumstances of the crime, and the serious harm caused to most victims, including children and adolescents, in order to protect the citizens' right to know and the public interest and prevent re-offending, it was decided to disclose his name, age and appearance to the public. Jiang Xun then applied to the court to revoke the decision but was rejected. The court said that the public's right to know in this case is far greater than the personal interests of the juvenile suspect Jiang Xun's reputation and future development, so it is necessary to disclose his identity to the public. The court also added that the suspect, born in 2001, will turn 19 this year and will soon no longer fall within the category of juveniles under the Juvenile Protection Act. Jiang Xun was arrested on the 9th for suspected violations of the "Child and Adolescent Sexual Protection Law", mainly using the screen name "Budai" (sound) to recruit and manage members, and converted the entrance fee collected in cryptocurrency into cash and handed it to Zhao Zhongbin, the owner of the "Doctor's Room". Zhao Zhongbin previously claimed that there were 3 group owners including Jiang Xun in the "Doctor's Room", but Jiang Xun stressed that he was not a common group owner, but had admitted most of the other suspects. Prosecutors are expected to investigate this issue further.
