The artificial reef launch will complete 870 artificial reef launches within one month, reaching more than 30,000 empty cubes. The completion of the project construction will greatly improve the ecological function, economic benefits and scientific management level of marine ranching.

During this period, professor Wang Aimin's team of the State Key Laboratory of South China Sea Marine Resources Utilization, College of Oceanography, Hainan University, gave full play to its advantages in talent, scientific research and technology to provide technical support, and through scientific research data analysis and monitoring summary, successively carried out artificial reef stocking, marine environment restoration and other work, effectively improved the regional seabed substratum environment, and provided breeding, growth and development, bait and other habitats for marine biological species, so as to promote the effective restoration and protection of marine ecosystems.

It is understood that in 2011, the Sanya Wuzhizhou Island Tourism Zone launched China's first tropical marine ranch project under the guidance of relevant functional departments of the government and the technical guidance of Professor Wang Aimin's team of Hainan University, and in 2019 won the title of the fifth batch of national marine ranch demonstration areas. By the end of 2020, with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Sanya Municipal Government, Hainan Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Hainan Provincial Science and Technology Department and other government departments, as well as the innovative technology of Hainan University, the construction of Wuzhizhou Island Marine Ranch has accumulated nearly 40 million yuan and invested more than 40,000 empty cubes such as artificial reefs and boat reefs, and has formed a complete marine biosphere such as coral reefs, fish and shrimp shells, marine ecological restoration and fishery resource conservation have achieved remarkable results, and the largest tropical marine pasture in the South China Sea has been built.
On the basis of ecological restoration, Wuzhizhou Island Marine Ranch is committed to integrating marine ranching with industries such as diving sea fishing, fishery breeding, and scientific research promotion to create a circular economy. Relying on efficient resource guidance and technical support, actively improve the five supporting facilities of "releasing ecological reefs, releasing reef fish, rectifying the coastline, promoting intelligence, and improving service capabilities", focus on promoting the "integration of fishing and tourism", continue to build an open undersea ecological park on the basis of tropical marine pastures, including undersea villages, undersea sculpture art zones, undersea military museums, etc., to achieve a new model of combining marine ecological restoration and tourism, create a new fulcrum of the "Maritime Tourism Silk Road", and add a blue background to the development of Hainan's tourism economy.
