Shenzhou peach is divided into two varieties: "red honey" and "white honey", and the production is mainly based on red honey cultivation.
Shenzhou red peach, also known as Kui peach, large peach, cold peach, is mainly distributed in Dujiazhuang, Ximazhuang area. The tree is strong, with a tall canopy and an upright or half-open posture. Young trees grow vigorously, upright, thick branches and are easy to germinate, and the fruiting period is late, generally three or four years. Large trees are mainly short fruit branches, accounting for about 80% of the total production of the whole tree, and the fruits of short fruit branches are large and not easy to fall off.
The fruit is oblong with a blunt tip protruding from the top. The sutures are deep and pronounced, the stems are narrow and deep, and the fruit is large, with an average fruit weight of 200-250 grams and a maximum of 600 grams. The background color is yellow and white, the sunny side is dark red, the flesh is milky white or yellowish, and there are purple-red rays near the nucleus. The meat is fine, juicy and sweet, with a sugar content of 22.77%, of which glucose accounts for 1.24%, sucrose accounts for 7.67%, water-soluble sugar accounts for 11.86%, and acid content accounts for 0.2076%. According to the results of the peach test of the Shenzhou Fruit Tree Farm in 1980 by the Laboratory Center of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the total sugar was 13.33%, of which 1.74% was reduced sugar, 0.16% acid, and 0.58% vitamin C (the author's note: the maturity of the laboratory samples is different). When ripe, the fruit has a fragrant aroma, sticky core, and is of the highest quality, ripening in mid-to-late August.
Shenzhou white peach: the tree is strong, the tree posture is upright than red honey, the young tree is vigorous, the result is later than the red honey, the short branches and branches in the germination of the large tree grow upright, the internodes are shorter, the leaves are short and wide, and the back is curved to the back, mainly the short fruit branches.
The fruit is round, the top of the fruit is slightly concave, slightly protruding, the fruit is large, the average single fruit weighs 200-250 grams, the maximum is 500 grams, the fruit is yellow and white, the suture line is deep and obvious, the fruit shape is not correct, the flesh is white, the sticky core, the juice is more, the taste is sweet, the ripeness is in the upper, lower and middle of September, the core is easy to crack, the fruit is easy to fall before ripening, and the yield is unstable.
Whether it is red honey or white honey, the flower organ structure is not complete, there is no pollen in the anthers, so it cannot be pollinated by self-flowering, and it is necessary to configure pollination trees or carry out artificial auxiliary pollination. Flower bud stiffness phenomenon, according to the survey, the general year stiff bud rate is 70 to 80%, severe years up to 95 percent, so the yield is low and unstable.
Deep state peach has a large peach and a small peach, usually said peach refers to the big peach, the small peach masses called "peach slave". The single fruit weighs about 50 grams, the largest is about 100 grams, although small but the sugar content is very high, the average is more than 20 percent, so the taste is extremely sweet, and the ripening period is about fifteen days later than the large peach.
