Mina: The race will continue if needed

F37 women's javelin gold medal, F37/38 women's discus gold medal, F37 women's shot put silver medal, 35-year-old veteran of our province Mina in the 11th National Paralympic Games can be described as a fruitful harvest.

"Actually, today's game was very tense." After the women's discus contest on Oct. 24, Mina said.

Mina's main opponent in the day's competition was Liaoning's Li Yinggen, and the two could be described as inseparable: in the Tokyo Paralympic Women's Discus Competition, Mina won the championship and the runner-up was Li Yinggrain; and in the women's shot put competition at the National Paralympic Games, Mina unfortunately lost to Li Yinggrai.

"During this period, there is a lack of systematic training, and the decline in status is more obvious." Mina said that although her physical recovery is now slower than that of young athletes, she has overcome difficulties and persevered in more than 10 days of intensive training before the opening of the National Paralympic Games.

There is always a reward for giving. The results of the discus competition on October 24 were somewhat unexpected to Mina, because her last training before the race was basically around 35 meters, rarely exceeding 36 meters, but in the final her five effective results exceeded 36 meters, and finally won with 36.83 meters.

"I was able to win the championship thanks to the adjustment of the psychological state of the scene." Mina said, "At that time, I thought about shooting like A normal training, and the final result was even better than when I was training." ”

Mina said that after winning the championship in the past, participating in the competition will have the psychological burden of fear of losing, and this year's Tempering of the Tokyo Paralympic Games, the mentality is completely different from before - "Even if I meet a strong opponent, I will use my normal heart to face the pressure, turn the pressure into motivation, and win the game." ”

This national paralympic games is the fifth time that Mina has participated in the national paralympic games, and she has become one of the athletes with the most participation in the national paralympic games in the Hebei delegation.

Since training in athletics in February 2005, Mina has won 10 national paralympic gold medals over the past 16 years. Looking back on the training and competition over the years, she sighed: "Practicing sports is already a very hard thing, and I am most afraid that because of injuries and illnesses, the performance will be affected, and the pressure is quite large. But the pressure did not knock her down, but became her motivation to fight hard.

Born in August 1986 in Xingtang County, Shijiazhuang City, Mina was diagnosed with congenital cerebral palsy when she was two or three months old, but her parents did not treat her as a disabled person, and paid special attention to cultivating her athletic ability. After becoming a professional paralympic athlete, with the help and encouragement of her family and coaches, Mina trained hard and made rapid progress, winning the gold medal for the first time when she participated in the Provincial Paralympic Games. Subsequently, at the National Paralympic Athletics Championships in Chongqing, she won three gold medals in the F37 women's javelin, discus and shot put – since then, Mina has won medals almost every time she participates in the competition.

At the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games, Mina lived up to expectations, winning two gold medals in women's shot put and discus in the F37/38 class, and both set new world records; at the 2010 Asian Paralympic Games in Guangzhou, Mina won the women's shot put and discus championship, and the shot put score broke the world record; at the 2012 London Paralympic Games, Mina won the women's shot put and discus championship and broke the world record; at the 2016 Rio Paralympic Games, Mina won the women's discus F37/38 final. With a time of 37.60 meters, she broke the world record for the project held by herself and successfully defended the title...

Behind the honor is an effort that ordinary people cannot imagine. In 2016, Mina once had acute gastroenteritis, and her strength and physical fitness were greatly affected, but she only played for three days before returning to the training ground and gritting her teeth to insist on training.

"Now I want to give myself a vacation and then go to Beijing Sport University to finish my studies." After completing all the tasks of this year's National Paralympic Games, Mina said: "If the country and Hebei need it, I will continue to participate in the competition."
