Changyang Tujia Autonomous County in Hubei Province is located in the eastern extension of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, with undulating mountains and ravines. The "Chronicle of Changyang County" records that from the Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China, the land transportation in the county was mainly manpower, shoulder to shoulder, and the labor intensity was extremely high. After the founding of New China, the Changyang County government built the first highway. After the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the construction of Changyang Highway accelerated its development, and by 1985, more than 1,500 kilometers of various highways had been built in the county, but "difficulty in walking" was still the most prominent problem here.

In July 2021, in Liuxi Village, Gaojiayan Town, Changyang County, Ren Dejin and Wang Guocui broke corn in the promenade of the farmhouse. Along the line, rural tourist attractions such as Zhengjiabang Village Tujia Cottage, Dipo Village Xiaoqin Village, Houfengxi Village Rock House, and Xieguping Village Butterfly Valley have risen rapidly.
