On the morning of October 26, the "National Development and Reform Commission and the High-level Roundtable of American Multinational Enterprises in China - Sichuan Station" was successfully held. The event was jointly organized by the International Department of the National Development and Reform Commission and the Sichuan Provincial Development and Reform Commission, and hosted by the International Cooperation Center and the Administrative Committee of Chengdu High-tech Industrial Development Zone. Ning Jizhe, deputy director of the National Development and Reform Commission, Luo Wen, vice governor of Sichuan Province, and Yang Lin, deputy secretary general of the Chongqing Municipal Government, attended the event and delivered speeches. 61 representatives from 49 U.S. chambers of commerce and enterprises in China attended the meeting.

Deputy Director Ning Jizhe said that as the connection point of the "Belt and Road" and the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the starting point of the new land and sea corridor in the west, the strategic position of Sichuan and Chongqing in the national opening pattern has become increasingly prominent, and it is becoming the forefront of inland opening up. From January to August this year, Sichuan's import and export volume of trade in goods with the United States reached 132.39 billion yuan, an increase of 25.4% year-on-year, accounting for 23% of the province's total import and export of goods trade. Chongqing's import and export volume of goods trade with the United States reached 75.2 billion yuan, an increase of 21% year-on-year, accounting for nearly 15% of the city's total import and export of goods trade. The Sichuan-Chongqing region connects the east and the west, connects the north and the south, has a consumer market with great potential, deep and solid factor support, an open space for docking the world, and a policy dividend of superimposed landing, and the development trend is good and the prospects are promising.

At the meeting, the responsible comrades of the relevant departments and bureaus of the National Development and Reform Commission respectively interpreted the construction of the Twin Cities Economic Circle in the Chengdu-Chongqing Region, the Comprehensive Transportation Development Plan of the Twin Cities Economic Circle, and sino-US economic cooperation; the responsible comrades of the Sichuan Provincial Development and Reform Commission and the Chongqing Municipal Development and Reform Commission introduced the construction of the Twin Cities Economic Circle in the Chengdu-Chongqing Region; and the responsible comrades of the Chengdu Municipal People's Government introduced the business environment, industrial function zones, and policies of Chengdu City. Representatives of U.S. chambers of commerce and enterprises in China conducted in-depth interactions and exchanges with relevant departments on topics of concern and concern.
