Does auxiliary braking really work?

The in-cylinder braking form can be divided into compression release brake and exhaust brake, at present, for the sake of braking efficiency and reliability considerations, the most used in domestic model engines is the compression release type in-cylinder brake form.
The operation process of the engine can be divided into four strokes of intake, compression, work and exhaust, after the use of compression release engine braking, the exhaust valve will be opened near the end of the compression stroke, so that the engine is constantly in the process of intake and compression, continuously consuming kinetic energy, and then achieving the purpose of vehicle braking.

Coupled with the high reliability of compression-release cylinder brakes and relatively cheap prices, it is currently assembled on many models in China, after all, many models have original engines, and card friends are not sensitive to this part of the cost.
It is also because of the cost that the high price of the hydraulic retarder makes the card friends extremely sensitive to it, even if it has excellent braking performance, after all, the one-time expenditure of 20,000-30,000 yuan is indeed quite scary, so it has also become a configuration of a few high-end models. However, in the long run, having a complete set of auxiliary brake configurations will allow Kayou to save more money in long-term operation.

In fact, from the perspective of driving safety, manufacturers and even the entire industry are very recommended that card friends provide vehicles with a full set of brake devices with in-cylinder brakes + liquid slowness, after all, their reliability and braking performance are still very excellent compared to traditional water showers, not to mention that some areas in winter are banning water shower devices.
Of course, some card friends will say that my car is not drenched, there is no auxiliary braking, in the face of driving brake safety, what should I do? Here are a few suggestions for card friends:
