Li Shutong and "Farewell"

author:The young man became a wooden boy

Outside the long pavilion, beside the ancient road,

The grass is full of blue sky.

The evening wind blows the willow flute,

Sunset Mountain outside the mountain.

The end of heaven, the corner of earth,

Half-lost.

A pot of turbid wine is all over,

Don't dream cold tonight.

"Farewell" is Mr. Li Shutong's representative work.

The work is simple and elegant, and it is a farewell work for a friend Xu Xianyuan.

The tune of "Farewell" is taken from the song "Dreaming of Home and Mother" by American composer John Pound Otway.

This slightly sad song circulated throughout the United States during the American Civil War and spread around the world.

When Li Shutong was studying in Japan, Japanese songwriter Inu Tong Qiuxi adopted the melody of "Dreaming of Home and Mother" and filled in the famous song "Travel Sorrow".

And Li Shu's "Farewell" is taken from InuYasha's "Travel Sorrow", which has become a popular work in the history of Chinese music.

Since its inception, "Farewell" has touched countless people with its beautiful melody and sincere emotions.

Long pavilion herbs, the end of the world, the passage of time, timeless.

From John Pound Otway to InuYasha Ball Creek, from InuYasha Ball Creek to Li Shutong, they have written a "trilogy" of human farewells.
