Why can the Chinese revolution succeed when others think it is impossible to succeed? The mystery is here

Summarizing the valuable experience of why the party's century-old struggle can succeed, and clarifying the basic guidelines for how the party can continue to succeed in the future, one of the most important ones is what General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized in his important speech on "July 1st": "Dare to struggle and dare to win is an invincible and powerful spiritual force of the Communist Party of China." On the new journey, to further grasp the law and general trend of historical development, and always grasp the historical initiative of the cause of the party and the state, we must continue to carry out the great struggle with many new historical characteristics and win the great victory in comprehensively building a modern socialist country.

The history of the party is a precious textbook, and by studying and understanding the history of the party, especially the history of daring to struggle and win, we will fully understand the great courage and tenacity, superb wisdom and infinite strength displayed by the party in dealing with all kinds of hardships, adversities, setbacks, and pressures, and greatly enhance our determination and self-confidence in overcoming all difficulties and obstacles, risks, and challenges. On April 25, 2021, General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out during a visit to the memorial hall of the Xiangjiang Campaign of the Red Army's Long March: "Revolutionary ideals are higher than the sky. It is precisely because the Red Army is a revolutionary army with ideals and convictions that it can regard death as a homecoming, live toward death, forge ahead, be reborn in a desperate situation, and burst out of the heroic spirit of not being overwhelmed by all enemies but overwhelming all enemies. Why did the Chinese revolution succeed when others thought it was impossible to succeed? The secret of success lies here. ”

The courage to struggle and dare to win is determined by the party's basic experience in a hundred years of history, and is the party's success code and victory magic weapon. Since the founding of our Party, it has built socialism on the soil of semi-colonial and semi-feudal society, carried out a social revolution of a proletarian revolutionary character under the condition that the working class is small in number and the peasants are the main force; it has won victory in revolution and war in the balance of forces between the strong enemy and our weakness; it has begun the heavy task of leading revolution and war on its own when the Party's organizational, theoretical and struggle preparations are not sufficient; it has continued its struggle in a situation where it has been brutally suppressed by reactionaries shortly after it has just entered the stage of history. Although the Party's leadership has made mistakes, deviated from its line, and suffered defeats in the revolution, the Party is good at winning and seizing turning points and at grasping the main contradictions. The more difficult the conditions, the more severe the situation, the greater the pressure, and the sharper the challenges, the more we must dare to struggle, dare to win, seek victory in the great struggle, and win victory by relying on the great struggle.

Over the past hundred years, the party has united and led the people to create great achievements in the new democratic revolution, socialist revolution and construction, reform, opening up, and socialist modernization, and socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era with the fearless spirit of "sacrificing more for the sake of having more ambitions and daring to teach the sun and the moon for a new heaven.", accumulated important experience, and enhanced confidence and courage in starting a new journey.

First, the people are the foundation of victory, and if they win the hearts and minds of the people, they will have an iron wall to overcome all enemies and difficulties. The foundation of our party lies in the people, the blood is in the people, and the strength is in the people. To fight the country and mountains is to fight the people's rivers and mountains; to defend the rivers and mountains is to guard the people's rivers and mountains. The people's wholehearted support and full support are the greatest confidence of the party in daring to struggle and dare to win.

The second is to strengthen faith, conviction, and confidence, not waver when the revolution is at a low tide, not shrink back when experiencing setbacks, and not be afraid when under pressure, so that we can persevere, refine steel, and turn defeat into victory. During the Jinggangshan struggle and the Central Soviet Zone, Comrade Mao Zedong firmly believed that "the spark of a spark can ignite the plains" and opened up the Chinese revolutionary road of encircling the cities in the countryside and seizing power by force. After the drastic changes in the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, our party unswervingly adhered to socialism with Chinese characteristics and created a new situation of socialism with Chinese characteristics.

The third is to give full play to subjective initiative, vigorously carry forward the spirit of revolutionary heroism, conditionalism but not conditionalism, and use "less steel and more gas" to defeat "more steel and less gas". The War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea was a modern war waged under conditions of extreme disparity in strength between the two belligerents. In extremely asymmetrical and extremely difficult circumstances, after a very difficult battle, the Chinese and North Korean armies defeated opponents armed to the teeth, breaking the myth of the invincibility of the US military.

The fourth is to grasp the law of transformation between crisis and opportunity, defeat and victory, difficulty and ease, and danger and destruction, be good at turning passive into active, turn unfavorable into favorable, and enhance the party's ability to grasp the historical initiative. After the founding of New China, under the situation of external blockade and suspension of aid, we stimulated a strong spiritual force to start a strong and indignant country, established an independent and complete national economic system, and created "two bombs and one satellite."

Fifth, rely on the party's strong leadership core, form the backbone of the great struggle, maintain the party's centralization and unity, unite the whole party, and lead the people to work together to resist risks and challenges. The major strategic achievements in the fight against the epidemic rely on the strong core role of General Secretary Xi Jinping and the political advantages of the leadership of the Communist Party of China to provide a fundamental political guarantee for winning the people's war, the overall war and the obstruction war against the epidemic.

The sixth is to grasp the overall situation, formulate a correct line and policy, cross the rapids and dangerous shoals, ride the wind and waves, and sail away.
