Li Xiannian was born in June 1909 in Huang'an, Hubei Province, and although his family was not wealthy, his parents sent him to a private school to study. However, in the turbulent years at that time, Li Xiannian did not always study at a private school, but was forced to learn carpentry under the pressure of life.
At that time, the launch of the revolutionary uprising in Hubei Province also accelerated the widespread spread of revolutionary ideas. Deeply influenced by revolutionary ideas, at the end of 1927, with a heart to serve the country, at the age of 18, he resolutely joined the revolutionary ranks and spent his life shining for the revolutionary cause.
In 1931, Li Xiannian served as the political commissar of the 33rd Regiment of the 11th Division, and led the troops to participate in the Battles of Huang'an and other battles, and completed the combat task very well. In 1932, under the command of Li Xiannian, the 11th Division participated in four anti-encirclement and suppression operations, and won a complete victory in many battles such as Qiliping, severely damaging the enemy army.

In the War of Resistance Against Japan, Li Xiannian relied on his revolutionary enthusiasm and tenacious and indomitable willpower to shoulder heavy burdens at many extremely critical historical junctures and create outstanding meritorious achievements. During the Liberation War, Li Xiannian also gave full play to his command ability and shined in the Central Plains Breakthrough Battle. In the later stages, Li Xiannian transferred to local work and undertook very important logistical support work in the Huaihai Campaign, creating immortal merits for the victory of the Liberation War.
After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Li Xiannian returned to Hubei to take up his post. In the face of a hometown full of wastes to be revitalized, Li Xiannian quickly stabilized the situation, first channeling the market and ensuring the supply of materials, and then devoting himself to the urban and rural land reform work, and repeatedly achieved good results.
In 1954, Li Xiannian was transferred to the central government and has since shouldered the girder of economic construction. Under the complicated social situation at that time, Li Xiannian made indelible and great contributions to the readjustment of the national economy and the development of socialist economic construction.

In the 1980s, Li Xiannian once again shined in the diplomatic field, contributed his share to the cause of the reunification of the motherland, and struggled until the last moment, and this spirit of dedication was sincerely admired.
In 1992, Li Xiannian died of illness in Beijing at the age of 83, but his four children upheld the excellent qualities of selfless dedication and hard work of their fathers, and made achievements in their respective fields.
The eldest daughter, Li Jin, chose to practice medicine and worked in the General Hospital of the Guangzhou Military Region, but under the strict teaching of her father, she has always kept a low profile, so the outside world does not know much about her. The second daughter, Li Ziyang, is also a doctor and has made important contributions to the medical cause, even making third-class merits. The son Li Ping chose to join the army under his father's expectations, and later worked in the Academy of Military Sciences, and won the rank of major general with his hard work and outstanding ability. After joining the army, the youngest daughter, Li Xiaolin, resolutely threw herself into China's diplomatic cause and achieved extremely brilliant achievements, and her husband was also a general Liu Yaya, who made outstanding contributions to the country.
