In the author's impression, most airlines have a relatively limited number of aircraft types in their fleets, and generally operate no more than two aircraft manufacturers' products, because this can effectively reduce the training of pilots, thereby saving a considerable amount of training costs.

Which airline is so "rainy and dewy"? It is S7 Airlines, which is reported to have a history dating back to 1957, when the Joint Squadron of Tolmachev, as the Civil Aviation Administration of the USSR, began operating a fleet of Antonov, Tupolev, Airbus and Boeing aircraft. After the collapse of the Soviet Union in the 1990s, S7 Airlines was renamed Siberian Airlines and subsequently privatized in 1994. In 2001, Siberian Airlines absorbed Baikal Airlines and inherited several Antonov An-24, Antonov An-26 and Tupolev Tu-154 aircraft.

While operating a fleet of all Russian/Soviet-made aircraft, Novosibirsk-based Siberian Airlines received the first of its 9 scheduled Airbus A310-200 and A310-300 aircraft in 2004. During the 2004 Farnborough Airshow, Siberian Airlines signed an order with Sukhoi Aviation Group Sukhoi for 50 Sukhoi Superjet 100s. However, Siberian Airlines later cancelled the purchase and said the Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft no longer met its requirements.

The Boeing 737-500, which can carry 132 passengers, is a twin-engine short- and medium-haul narrow-body airliner designed to be a modern drop-in replacement for the 737-200.

(ix) Airbus A310

After airlines demanded smaller aircraft than the Airbus A300, the Airbus A310 competed with the Boeing 767-200. Two cabins can carry 220 passengers, and a single-cabin configuration can carry 240 passengers, the main difference from the 300 model is that the latter has a larger takeoff weight.
