Russian Ambassador to the United States Antonov departed for the United States

At 9:20 a.m. local time on the 20th, Russian Ambassador to the United States Antonov departed from Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport for New York, and then returned to Washington from there.

Antonov was recalled by the Russian side on March 21 this year. On March 17, US President Joe Biden said in an interview with US media that Putin was the "murderer." Subsequently, the Russian Foreign Ministry issued a statement saying that the Russian ambassador to the United States will return to Moscow to discuss the direction of Russian-US relations. A month later, U.S. Ambassador to Russia Sullivan returned to the United States for the same reason. For more than two months, the russian and American ambassadors have remained in their home countries.
