author:Jinwa Fun Talk

In 386 AD, Wang Xianzhi's illness was very difficult to cure, because their Langya family had been practicing Taoism for generations, so they invited Daoists to write a seal for him to get rid of the disease.

When the table chapter was written, patients needed to reflect deeply on the mistakes they had made, and after 43-year-old Wang Xianzhi thought deeply for a long time, he only said one sentence: "I don't remember that I have made other mistakes, only that I should not divorce the Xi family." ”

A few years ago, because he was favored by Princess Xin'an, Wang Xianzhi had to retire his original wife Xi Daomao, and he was heartbroken until he died of a serious illness.

1. Wang Xizhi's youngest but most outstanding son

Wang Xianzhi was a calligrapher of the same name as his father Wang Xizhi, born in 344 AD, the youngest son of Wang Xizhi, and the highest level of calligraphy and painting among Wang Xizhi's seven sons, and his father was collectively known as the "Second King", Wang Xizhi was praised as "Shusheng", and he was called "Xiaosheng".

Wang Xianzhi has shown distinctive personality traits since childhood. Once, he and his two older brothers, Wang Huizhi and Wang Caozhi, went to visit the official Shangshu Xie'an.

Xie An was both a courtier and a close friend of Wang Xizhi, and Wang Huizhi and Wang Caozhi talked in front of him, acting enthusiastically and eruditely, but Wang Xianzhi only politely said a few words of greeting.

After the three brothers left, someone asked Xie An what his impression of the three people was, and Xie An replied: "The little one is better."

Compared with Wang Huizhi and Wang Caozhi, Xie An recognized Wang Xianzhi more, because "the words of the Ji people are few, and they know it because they say less." ”

Xie An believes that people with great achievements are less reticent, and Wang Xianzhi just does not like to talk, so he thinks that he must be outstanding.

It is also true that among Wang Xizhi's seven sons, Wang Xianzhi was the most outstanding one.

2. Marriage with the Xi family

Wang Xianzhi's mother, Xi Xuan, was the daughter of Xi Jian, an important official of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, and she also had two younger brothers, Xi Huan and Xi Tan.

Xi Tan had a son and a daughter, and his daughter Xi Daomao was one year older than Wang Xianzhi and was Wang Xianzhi's cousin. Wang Xianzhi and Xi Daomao grew up together, and the two people can be regarded as green plum bamboo horses, and the two children have no guess.

When it came to the age of marriage, Wang Xianzhi married Xi Daomao as he wished.

After the marriage, the two people had a happy life, and later Xi Daomao gave birth to a daughter for Wang Xianzhi, named Yurun. Unfortunately, this child died at a very young age.

Xi Daomao's health was not good, and after losing her young daughter, she was very sad and sad all day, and she has not had any children since.

But what she didn't expect was that there were more sad things waiting for her in the days to come.

Third, the princess crossed the knife to seize love

Wang Xianzhi came from the famous Family of the Wei and Jin Dynasties- the Langya Wang Clan, and he also looked like a talented person, and he was famous in his youth, and was very popular among the princes and nobles at that time, so he also entered the eyes of Sima Daofu, the princess of Xin'an.

Sima Daofu was the third daughter of Sima Yu, the Emperor wen of Jin, who had married Huan Ji, the second son of Sima Huanwen the Great, who, because huanji was dissatisfied with his uncle Huan Chong's power, plotted to kill his uncle by joining forces with his brother, but the matter was later revealed, and the Huanji brothers were exiled, and Sima Daofu divorced Huanji.

After the divorce, Sima Daofu took a fancy to Wang Xianzhi, the talented son of the family at that time, and wanted to recruit him as a donkey.

At this time, Wang Xianzhi and his wife had a very good relationship, although the two people did not have children again, but this did not affect the warmth and harmony of the two people's lives.

Although Wang Xianzhi did not want to leave his wife, but the royal order was difficult to directly disobey, in desperation, Wang Xianzhi did not hesitate to burn his feet with moxibustion, and walked with a limp, he wanted to let himself use this image to make Princess Xin'an dead heart.

But even so, Princess Xin'an still did not change her original intention of Wang Xianzhi and insisted on marrying him.

Wang Xianzhi, who was persecuted by the imperial power, had to endure the pain of divorcing his wife.

At this time, Xi Daomao's father, That is, Wang Xianzhi's uncle Xi Tan, had died, and Xi Daomao had to go to his uncle Xi Tao with shame and shame, and soon died of depression.

Fourth, long-term thoughts

Because of Xie An's appreciation and the support of imperial power, Wang Xianzhi's official position after becoming a donkey became bigger and bigger, first as a general of Jianwei, then as Wuxing Taishou, and soon entered the dynasty as Zhongshu Ling, the highest administrative officer in the dynasty, and his status was above that of the chancellor.

Princess Xin'an gave birth to a daughter for Wang Xianzhi, who was named Shen Ai.

Although it seems that Wang Xianzhi is proud of his officialdom and has a happy family life, but the people of the Wang family, from the beginning of Wang Xizhi, are very indifferent to the name of merit, Wang Xianzhi obviously inherited this, the glory of the magnate, the name of the horse did not make him really happy, his heart was always worried about his ex-wife Xi Daomao, often wrote to her to greet, the most famous of which is "Feng Zheng Ti":

"Although it is worth accumulating years, it can be a joy for the whole day." Often suffering is not enough to touch the forehead. Fang wants to be the same as his sister's horse, and to grow old with him, is it not to say goodbye to this! When the sorrows are deep, why should they see their sisters day and night? Pitching and mourning, there is nothing left, but it should be a desperate ear! ”

Although I used to be with my cousin you every day, lasting for more than ten years, but I hope that those days can continue to last, so that I can and cousin you whitehead to old age!

Unexpectedly, fate has gotten to such an extent that we are forced to separate! I'm very sad about this, when will I be able to get along with you like I did?

I looked down and wept sadly, looked up and sighed, but there was really nothing I could do! Maybe only the day I lose my breath can I see my sister again!

Fifth, a lifetime of regrets

The day that Wang Xianzhi had been looking forward to meeting Xi Daomao soon arrived.

In 386, about six years after marrying Princess Xin'an, Wang Xianzhi became seriously ill, and in the case of incurable healing, Wang Xianzhi asked people to invite Daoists to make a table for him. When reflecting on the mistakes he had made in his life, he pondered for a long time, and finally replied slowly: "I don't feel that there is anything left, but I remember divorcing the Xi family." ”

This was something that Wang Xianzhi had always cherished, and although he had expressed it many times in his letters, this pain still weighed heavily on his heart until his deathbed.

Soon after, Wang Xianzhi died at the age of 43.

When Wang Xianzhi's daughter Wang Shen'ai grew up, she married the crown prince Sima Dezong as his wife.

In 396, Sima Dezong succeeded to the throne as Emperor An of Jin, and Wang Shen'ai was made empress dowager.

Although Emperor An of Jin never said a word in his life and could not take care of himself in everything, under the auspices of the chief officials of the court, Wang Xianzhi, as the father of the empress, was posthumously given the title of Shizhong (侍中), Guanglu Dafu (光禄大夫), and Dazai (大zai), and given the title of "Xian".
