At the event, the secretary of the party branch of the district told the history of the "Red Army Bridge". The reason why the "Red Army Bridge" is called "Red Army Bridge" is to commemorate the Ninth Army of the Red Army that passed here. On April 19, 1935, the Ninth Army of the Red Army was ordered by the Central Military Commission to complete the task of covering the main force of the Central Red Army to cross the Wujiang River in the south, and on the 20th, it passed through Jinsha, Bijie, Nayong, Shuicheng and other counties, crossed the Beipan River victoriously from the Tiger Jumping Stone and bamboo pole bridges, entered the territory of Pan County through Pugu, Jichangping, Guankou and other places, and on April 23, 1935, from this bridge passed into Fuyuan, Yunnan, dumping the pursuit of the Kuomintang troops and preserving the living forces. Later, in order to commemorate the victory of the Red Army's Long March, the local people called this bridge "Red Army Bridge".
In November 2004, the "Red Army Bridge" in Panjiang Town was listed as a county-level cultural relics protection unit. After the narration, all party members in the district revisited the oath of joining the party in front of the party flag, and said that the mine and the district are now in a critical period of overcoming difficulties, highlighting heavy sieges, and striving to create a new chapter of high-quality development, and we must inherit the revolutionary spirit, strengthen confidence, base ourselves on our posts, unite as one, overcome difficulties, and contribute our own strength to the realization of high-quality development of mines.
