Like most middle-class Japanese housewives, the mistress of wakasa is responsible for the affairs of the family, gathering with friends in her spare time, showing off her happy family relationships in front of her friends, and yearning for a vacation to Hawaii.
However, hidden behind her optimism is a less happy life: a husband who runs a loss-making company but can't change the money spent lavishly during the bubble economy; the eldest man who has been bullied by the school and rarely comes home after he marries; the unmotivated and cynical second man who thinks that the sky is falling down with his father and brother.
These are the complete opposites of the life she describes, with no harmonious families, no family trips, and no Hawaii.
With this pressure, Wakasa suffered from a very rare malignant tumor and had less than a week left to live. This news was like a thunderbolt on a sunny day, which made the three men of the Ruocai family panic and be overwhelmed.
What overwhelmed is not only the sudden bad news, but also the family of four's understanding of each other.

In the film, Wakasa's illness finally makes the three unreliable men play their own hard work, and the father is no longer the president of the high, but the man who works alone until late at night and really provokes the family's financial responsibility. The two brothers went their separate ways, working together to find a hospital willing to take their mother, and all the difficulties were shared by the whole family.
The so-called family is the last barrier against all the unsatisfactory times in the outside world.
