Three Masters of the Fifties

Yang Guanfu, Li Yiting and Wang Jialiang are known as the "Three Masters of chess", but it is the Chinese chess scene in the 1950s that should be explained. At the beginning of the 1950s, Yang Guanfu's northern conquest of the south was invincible, and the only opponent who could be called his opponent was Li Yiting in Hubei.

Li debuted at the age of sixteen and attacked Yang in the ring in Shanghai, it may be that old Yang saw that he was too young, a little light enemy, and even lost two games in a row. Old Yang was annoyed and invited him to continue the game, and the continuation party had to draw a draw.

Since then, the situation of Yang and Li competing for the xiong, the first and second national chess champions are Yang Guanfu, and the third Li Yiting has fulfilled his wish and won the championship from the hands of Lao Yang. However, the fourth old Yang regained his strength and ascended the championship throne three times.

Wang Jialiang is known as the "Northeast Tiger", the killing method is extremely domineering, the first national competition old Yang actually gave him a horse, the points have always been Wang's lead. It was not until the final round, wang Jialiang lost to He Shun'an, Yang Guan Phosphorik Li Yiting, which was able to ascend to the championship throne.

After Yang Li and another king, the "Three Masters of chess" got its name from then on.

After the national chess tournament in 1959, the famous chess historian Xu Ji wrote a poem "Nian Nu Jiao", the first half of which wrote Li Yiting, and the second half of the book commented on the "three masters of the chess world" in Wang Jialiang's tone, which not only showed the style of chess, but also saw his personality, which was very interesting.

Words:

The young national hand, the plum blossom, once laid the southeast hegemony. Gansu Chuanfeng is a veteran, and a game of male and female is not decided. Turning the map to the gong, raising the chess piece to turn the wrong one, and shocking the army to fold at the beginning. Xianyang Road is far away, and it is difficult to say that the wind and clouds are changing.

Humane Yang Li caiduo, a moment of Yu Liang, and I became three masters. I can suppress Li even if I lose Yang, please try the old man Huang Yu. The wine is ripe and green plums, the smell of thunder is lost, and the cup in the palm is still hot. The Ninth House wins the marshal, and sees who is more heroic.

The "veteran general" of the "Gansu ChuanfengFeng Veteran" is Wu Yanfu, a chess player from a peasant background, who has never read a chess score and has accumulated decades of experience to enter the ranks of national players. Xiao Li and his match were reconciled, losing the most precious point.

Wang Jialiang is also known as "Li Yiting Examiner", and in the national competition, Li often loses to him. The saying that "I can suppress Li even if I lose Yang" is not a boast. But today, the three masters' ups and downs are different.

Changes in the sixties

In 1960, Hu Ronghua was fifteen years old, and he defeated Yang Guanfu when he participated in the National Chess Tournament for the first time. In the end, because the points were exactly the same, it was tied for the championship.

But since then, ten consecutive times, all of them have been Hu Ronghua's champions, and Lao Yang's "turnaround battle" has never been successful.

Seven or nine years of the national chess tournament, the last round of the game, he also led the front Hu a point, but he was a new chess player Yan Mujiang entangled in the fight into peace, Hu Ronghua won the opponent, the result of the "field score" is the same, the game points Xiao Hu more, this year's old Yang Ben is the most promising to win back the championship, the result is a bubble again.

"Beauty has been like a famous general since ancient times, and it is forbidden to see white heads in the world." This is true of beautiful people, and so are chess players.

Chess games are time-limited, older, less agile thinking, inevitably suffer losses. After all, Old Yang was a little older. Last year, he couldn't make it to the final, and he was eliminated in the preliminary round.

Last year was the first time since China had a national chess tournament that Yang Guanfu did not participate in the final. Since this year, Yang Guanfu has been full-time coach of the Guangdong team and is no longer an "active" player.

However, the coach has a "privilege" to act as a backup when the player cannot play due to an incident. Therefore, he can only be said to be "semi-retired".

This year, the Guangdong team won the national championship, and the final battle was won by him to replace the fourth player Cai Yuguang and defeat Liu Jing of the Beijing team.

Wang Jialiang has won the national runner-up three times, he has a good physique, and he is still the head player of the Heilongjiang team.

Comparatively speaking, Li Yiting "sank" the fastest, and he no longer participated in any competitions due to his poor health after the "Cultural Revolution". But one thing he is pleased about is that his apprentice Liu Dahua was last year's "new branch champion", and Hu Ronghua won the championship for ten consecutive times, and was replaced for the first time.

There are apprentices fighting, and Li Yiting is proud enough.

Losing Yang or Li is Ye Fei

A few days ago, I met Mr. Zeng Yiqian, a famous chess player, who is an old friend of Yang Guanfu and Li Yiting, and the topic naturally falls on the chess matter of chess people.

He said: "One of the sentences of the poem "Nian Nu Jiao" that you quoted in "The Three Masters of the Chess World" seems to be inconsistent with the facts. This poem was borrowed from Wang Jialiang's tone to write "Three Masters of chess", and there is a sentence in the cloud: "Humane Yang Li caiduo, a moment of Yu Liang, and I become three masters." I can suppress Li even if I lose Yang, please try the old man Huang Yu. ”

Zeng Yiqian pointed out that the sentence "I can suppress Li even if I lose Yang can suppress Li" is wrong. He said that Wang Jialiang could not suppress Li, but on the contrary, he suppressed Li.

This poem is written by an author who signed "Liu Ziqing" (press: i.e. Xu Ji. I don't know it was his pen name at the time of writing) after the end of the 1959 National Chess Tournament.

Zeng Yiqian was familiar with the game record of the famous chess players, and he and I calculated a "detailed account": in the first national tournament in 1956, Wang Jialiang and Li Yiting were equal in both sets. In the 1957 national competition, Wang Sheng. 58 years of national competition, Li Sheng. Fifty-nine national competitions, and. But in the exhibition match in Wuhan, it was Li Sheng. That is, as of 1959, it was a one-game victory over Li Jing.

But I suspect that the author may have written it according to the king's "self-statement." Wang is a more competitive person, when the reporter visited him, he counted the results, in the national competition, he and Li just fought a draw, he boasted that he could suppress Li.

The victory and defeat between Wang Yang and Yang seems to be very small, I have not checked the detailed record, and the saying of "losing Yang" is probably still to be examined. The Wang And Li match of the 1959 national competition was selected as the "best match" by the conference; the "best game" in the 1960s was the Wang Yang match.

Although Wang Jialiang has never won a national championship, he has been the protagonist of the "best match" for two consecutive times, and he is also proud. He was born a worker and had a very good physique. In the national competition in 1974, he and Yang Guanfu tangled for nine hours, setting a record for chess time. Yang's spirit was not supported, and he finally lost, becoming one of the "interesting things" in the chess world.

Wang Jialiang has a quite innovative spirit, such as the "Return to the Heart Horse Tactic" he created. The chess proverb originally said that "the horse will die when it returns to the heart", and it can be said that the horse will win with the heart, which can be described as unique. Therefore, I commented on his chess style as "infinite scenery in the dangerous peak" also.
