From October 11 to 17, 2021, Lu Zhengrong, member of the party group and deputy director of the Shanghai Municipal Agricultural and Rural Committee, led relevant department cadres and technical experts to visit Xigaze City in the Tibet Autonomous Region and trained in dairy breeding technology with plateau characteristics. Liu Jincai, deputy director of the Xigaze Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, accompanied by Shanghai's counterpart cadres aiding Tibet.
In Shigatse City, Lu Zhengrong participated in the animal epidemic prevention material donation ceremony organized by the Xigaze City Animal Disease Prevention and Control Center, and donated epidemic prevention refrigerators and other materials to the township veterinary station in Xigaze City to alleviate the refrigeration problem of vaccine transportation in remote areas. In 17 counties of Shigatse, there were sub-venues, and responsible comrades of the Agricultural and Rural Bureaus of Sangzhuzi, Bailang, Gyantse, Kangma, Sakya, Lazi, Dingri, Dingjie, Jilong, Nielamu, Saga, Angren, Xietongmen, Renbu, Gamba, Nanmulin and Yadong County Agricultural and Rural Bureaus, and professional and technical personnel of agriculture and animal husbandry in counties and townships (towns) participated in the video training at the sub-venues.
The expert group composed of the Shanghai Municipal Center for Animal Disease Prevention and Control, the Law Enforcement Corps of the Shanghai Municipal Agricultural and Rural Committee and the Guangming Group held discussions and exchanges with comrades of relevant units of the Xigaze Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and some comrades of Shanghai Agricultural Aid to Tibet. Meng Wenhai, head of the Liaison Group of the Ninth Batch of Shanghai Cadres Aiding Tibet and deputy secretary of the Xigaze Municipal CPC Committee, attended the exchange meeting.
In Dingri County, Lu Zhengrong led the experts to learn more about the operation of the cooperative and the feeding of dairy cows, and conducted on-site guidance and training for local agricultural and animal husbandry professionals and herdsmen on issues such as dairy cattle breeding and breeding, feed nutrition and disease prevention and control.
The delegation made a special trip to Shigatse Baiyacheng Agricultural Trade Co., Ltd. and visited the company's feed production workshop, large-scale breeding base for beef cattle and sheep and deep-processed products. Subsequently, the expert delegation rushed to Yadong and Jiangzi Counties to inspect the Yadong Dairy Cow Cooperative and the Xiga Ecological Dairy Cattle Farm in Jiangzi County, which were piloted by Shanghai Agricultural Aid tibet to help Shigatse Dairy Cow Sex Control Technology. The experts gave guidance and training to the technicians of the cattle farm on the spot, and proposed a technical solution to the phenomenon of frequent breeding obstacles for cows in the large-scale dairy farm on the plateau in Jiangzi County. Along the way, the expert delegation also inspected the salmon breeding base in Yadong, the production base of fungus, the construction of a well-off demonstration village on the border, and the modern agricultural park in the Red River Valley of Jiangzi.
In just one week, the expert group overcame the discomfort of altitude sickness, felt the enthusiasm of Tibetan brothers, and experienced the "spirit of aiding Tibet" mentioned by General Secretary Xi. The eyes of the Tibetan brothers who are eager for technology make everyone unforgettable, and the work style of the Shanghai cadres aiding Tibet who "lack oxygen and do not lack spirit" also makes everyone moved. After this inspection, Shanghai experts have a number of characteristics of the highland breeding of Shigatse dairy cows, which has given the pulse to the local dairy cow production problems and provided technical support for the future. The expert group believes that more technical support should be provided to cadres aiding Tibet in accordance with the needs of agricultural production in Shigatse, especially in the technical links of dairy cattle breeding, disease prevention and control, and strive to narrow the technical gap between the two places.
