Helen Keller's Growth Story

We all know that Helen Keller is a famous American writer and educator.

1. In 1882, she grew up groping in the dark

In that year, she was just one year old, and her brain was so high that she was deaf and blind, and later, she was so serious that she couldn't even speak.

2. In 1888, at the age of 7, Helen, under the loving care of her teacher, overcame the obstacles of blindness and deafness and completed her university studies.

That year, the family hired a tutor for her, sullivan teacher who influenced Helen's life.

Under her hard guidance, Helen began to learn sign language, touch the word card to learn to write, touch the lips of others when she spoke, and learn to speak.

Sullivan brought Helen close to nature, letting her roll on the grass, run and jump in the fields, plant seeds in the ground, climb into trees to eat, and take her to touch the newborn piglets and play by the river.

3. 1936 Helen grows up in sadness

That year, Teacher Sullivan, who had been with her day and night, died, and Helen almost collapsed, but Helen knew that the teacher did not want to see her go on like this.

4. Helen broadcasts love

Helen knew that if it were not for the teacher's careful teaching, she would not be where she is now, so she is determined to carry forward the love that the teacher gave her.

So Helen traveled to cities large and small in the United States, traveling the world, and doing her best to serve those who were less fortunate.

Helen Keller died on June 1, 1968, at the age of 88, but had lived in a lightless, silent world for 87 years. During this time, she completed 14 books.

The most famous of these are "If You Give Me Three Days of Light" and "The Story of the Stone Wall". Dedicated to the benefit of the disabled, she established many charities, and was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1964 and selected as one of the "Top Ten American Icons of the Twentieth Century" by Time Magazine the following year
