Pu Songling, nicknamed Liuquan Jushi, known as Mr. Liaozhai , called himself The Strange History, an outstanding writer of the Qing Dynasty and an excellent short story writer. He is the author of "Chatting with Zai Zhiyi".
Pu Songling's "Liaozhai Zhiyi" inherits the mantle of the Six Dynasties Zhiwei novel and the Tang legend, but has made a qualitative leap in concept and practice. He got rid of the concept of "Ming Shinto", used the rationality of life experience, controlled the mysterious consciousness of the Six Dynasties Zhiwei novels and later infiltrated into folk religious beliefs, such as literary creation, fictionalized strange and magnificent stories, to needle reality, express sorrow, express personal feelings, experiences and tastes, and pin spiritual pursuits and yearnings.
Pu Songling entered the examination hall several times in his life to obtain meritorious names, but all of them failed. The inability to be born also means that the poor book is born poor.
In order to motivate himself to write "Chatting with Zai Zhiyi", he wrote a couplet,
In this way, Pu Songling devoted his life to "Liaozhai Zhiyi". More than 300 years after Pu Songling's death, his novels became bestsellers that swept the world.
