Yigao Village
FALL SEASON
Yigao Village is the third batch of traditional Chinese villages, located in Zhili Town, Wuxing District, which is an ancient village of Taihu Lake along the two sides of Yigao Village.
Yigao has a long history, according to the "Jiatai Wu Xingzhi" record, Yigao has formed a village during the Southern Song Dynasty. The Qing Dynasty was the most prosperous, becoming a bustling small market town on the south bank of Taihu Lake.
Yigao Ancient Village is rich in cultural heritage, consisting of three parts: First, the Yigao Market formed by relying on Yigao Village, there are river ports, ancient bridges, barges, tethers, ancient streets, streetfront stores in the water market, including Yigao Cocoon Station, which is the bustling area of Yigao Ancient Village;
The second is the ancient houses distributed in the east-west direction of the small river on the east side of Yigao Village, and the main existing buildings are the Fanjia Complex, the single-hole stone girder bridge, etc.;
The third is the Zhujiamiao Natural Village, which is distributed along the east-west grain transportation river in the north of Yigao, which now preserves the single-hole stone beam bridge and the old residence of the Zhu family in the Qing Dynasty, and also preserves the Zhu family temple, the Zhu family temple bridge, the ancient river port, the ancient simple tree and many ancient residences of the Zhu family on the east side.
Big money village
Daqian Village is located in Huanzhu Township, Wuxing District, which is an ancient village of Taihu Lake and Pugang formed by Daqian Port, with an area of 420 hectares.
Daqian Village has historical records in the Tang Dynasty period, called Daqian Town in ancient times. Wu Yueguo's "Shallow Army", which specialized in the water conservancy of Taihu Lake and the management of the port, was stationed here, and the Ming Dynasty set up a inspection department at the mouth of Daqian Lake.
There are many historical and cultural relics in the village, which are divided into four parts: the first part is the ancient bridge, ancient river port, ancient camphor tree, ancient temple and horizontal street centered on the Pu'an Bridge; the second part is the ancient archway, ancient wharf and the original ecological pugang style at the intersection of Xiaoqian and Daqiangang; the third part is the ancient streets and alleys, ancient houses and barges and river ports centered on Daqian Ancient Street; the fourth part is the water system, ancient bridges and houses distributed around the copper tungsten eye.
Daqian Village is the political, economic and military center of Huzhou along the Taihu Lake area, and is an outstanding representative of the market villages and towns in Taihu Lake.
