Meishan pig
The Meishan pig evolved from an ancient pig breed in the southern region of the lower Reaches of the Yangtze River, the Big Flower Face Pig, and was originally divided into the Dameishan Pig, the Zhongmeishan Pig and the Xiaomeishan Pig. At present, the Damei mountain pig has become extinct.

Appearance characteristics: The small Meishan pig is known for its slightly smaller size, thin skin, early ripening, high fecundity, strong lactation, long service life and delicious meat. Its body is compact and delicate. The coat is mainly black hair, and the limbs and nose are white, commonly known as "four feet white".
The medium-sized Meishan pig is larger, with light black, thinning hair, slightly purple or light black skin, loose skin on the trunk and limbs, deep wrinkles on the face, large drooping ears, deep and narrow chest, sagging abdomen, sunken waist, under-plump thighs, white hair on all four feet, and short legs.
Pudong White Pig
Pudong White Pig is native to Chuansha Town, Zhuqiao Town, Liuzao Town and other places in Pudong New Area, Shanghai, of which Wujiamiao, Majiazhai, Huoyiyan and Xingqianqiao in Zhuqiao Town are the central production areas. In addition to the Pudong New Area, there are also breeding in the coastal area of Fengxian District.
The advantages of Pudong white pigs are all white coat color, high fecundity, tolerance to rough feeding, strong adaptability, and better meat flavor, and the disadvantages are slower growth rate and low feed conversion efficiency.
Appearance characteristics: Historically, there were three types of Pudong white pigs, namely short head, long head and middle type. Because the intermediate type is easy to manage in production and the action is more flexible, it is the main type of preservation at present.
Pudong white pig has a thick head, a wrinkled forehead, wrinkles curved like the word "Shou", large drooping ears, coarse and stiff mane, and boars with badger teeth. The dorsal line is straight, the abdomen is slightly droopy, the hips are tilted and the tail root is thick, and the tail tip is small. The skin is thick and fluffy, and wrinkled. The limbs are thick, the hind limbs are curved outwardly and internally curved, and the whole body is covered with white hairs.
Shawu head pig
The central production area of Shawutou pig is in Qidong City, Nantong City, Jiangsu Province, mainly distributed in Haimen City and Chongming District of Shanghai City. Shawutou pigs have the characteristics of coarse feeding resistance, strong disease resistance, sow production and strong nanny.
Appearance characteristics: Sha Wu head pig is originally divided into three types of old Sha Wu head, meat Sha Wu head, small Sha Wu head, the existing Sha Wu head pigs are meat Sha Wu head pigs, which are black and thin, the mane is black, the skin is white, the skin is fine and wrinkleless, the body is larger, the physique is strong, and the structure is symmetrical. There are white hairs on the end of the nose, tie, and tail tip, and some pigs have black hairs all over the body.
The head is large and shou-shaped, there are 3 to 4 wrinkles on the bridge of the nose, the mouth is not long, the ears are large and droopy, and the neck is medium and thick. Maple pig
Fengjing pig is native to Jinshan District and Songjiang District of Shanghai, and is distributed in Fengxian District, Pudong New Area (formerly Chuansha County), Qingpu District and other places.
Appearance characteristics: Maple Pig coat black, mane black, white skin, light red abdomen. The physique is strong and the structure is symmetrical. The head is large and wide, the forehead is wrinkled, the ears are large and droopy, the tip of the ears exceeds the mouthpiece, and the mouthpiece is long and slightly concave. The back is flat and slightly concave, the abdomen is sagging, and the hip muscles are not full enough. The limbs are stout; there is no reclining. The bones are thick and strong, and the muscles are moderately developed.
Shanghai White Pig
Shanghai white pigs are jointly bred by the Institute of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine of Shanghai Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the former Shanghai County (now Minhang District) breeding farm, and the former Baoshan County (now Baoshan District) breeding farm. In 1978, it passed the appraisal of Shanghai Municipality.

Pudong chicken
The origin and central production area of Pudong chicken are the coastal areas of Pudong New Area (formerly Nanhui County, Chuansha County) and Fengxian District of Shanghai, which are mainly distributed in Nicheng, Shuyuan, Laogang and other towns in Pudong New Area.
Appearance characteristics: Pudong chicken is larger. The beak is short and slightly curved , with a yellow base and a brown or light brown upper tip. Single crown, crown, fleshy hair, ear lobes are red. The iridescence is yellow. The skin is white or pale yellow. The tibia are yellow , and a few individuals have shin feathers and toe feathers.
Rooster crown upright, crown teeth 5 to 7; plumage color includes yellow breast yellow back, red breast red back and black breast red back three kinds of feathers; main wing feathers, aileron feathers are mostly black, abdominal feathers are golden yellow or black; tail feathers are upturned, black and dark green luster.
The crown of the hen is small, sometimes with inconspicuous crown teeth; the whole body feathers are brown in shades; the tail feathers are short and slightly upward, and the main tail feathers are underdeveloped.
Chicks are mostly yellowish in hair, with a few head and back with brown or grey hair bands.
New Pudong chicken
The new Pudong chicken is based on the excellent local breed of Pudong chicken in China as the material for breeding, and is bred by the Institute of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine of Shanghai Academy of Agricultural Sciences. It retains the characteristics of Pudong chicken, and the adult chicken is large and the meat is delicious, mainly promoted and applied to Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Guangdong and other places.
Appearance characteristics: The new Pudong chicken focuses on retaining the characteristics of the Pudong chicken in the selection and breeding process over the years, so its appearance is similar to the original Pudong chicken, but its body is long and wide, the shin is slightly shorter and there is no shin feather, and the body shape is closer to the meat type.
Yangtze River Delta White Goat (Chongming Goat)
Yangtze River Delta white goat (Chongming goat) is the only lamb in China characterized by the production of high-quality pen wool, high temperature and humidity resistance, tolerance to rough feeding, strong adaptability, strong disease resistance and other characteristics; the main disadvantages are small individuals and poor meat performance.
Appearance characteristics: The Yangtze River Delta white goat (Chongqing goat) has a white coat color, and the coat is tight, soft and shiny. Rams have long hairs on the back of their necks and thoraxes , and most rams have longer forehead hairs. The skin is white. The body is medium to small, and the body is rectangular. The head is triangular in shape, the face is slightly concave, and the ears are extended outwards and upwards.

Appearance characteristics: The whole body of the lake sheep is covered with white hair. Shen Hong colorful pheasant
