Veterans of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea relive the years of "warm-blooded cold war."

Hospital leaders presented flowers and took a group photo for the two old heroes and veterans.

Red Net Moment, October 25 (Correspondent He Rang) "The movie scene is very real, when you see the US aircraft flying densely over the sky and dropping bombs, you remember the scene when you and your comrades-in-arms overcame difficulties and obstacles with tenacious willpower under extremely difficult conditions. "When we were fighting in Korea, our country was very poor, and victory was indeed not easy to come by." Comrades have won honor for the motherland and the people with their lives and blood, and have also taught today's people to cherish life and contribute to the construction of the motherland. Two veterans of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, the 91-year-old Tan Xiaobing and the 89-year-old Sun Maolin, said with great excitement after watching the movie "Chosin Lake".

Remember history, pay tribute to heroes and martyrs, absorb the spirit of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, and continue the red gene. On October 25, the anniversary of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, the Hunan Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine (the Second Affiliated Hospital of Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine) launched an activity to commemorate the 71st anniversary of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea on October 22 -- inviting and accompanying retired comrades of the hospital- Tan Xiaobing and Sun Maolin, two veterans of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, watched the movie "Changjin Lake" set in the Battle of Changjin Lake in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, which allowed veterans to relive the years of "warm blood and cold war" and also let them feel a special care from the organization on this special day.

At one o'clock in the afternoon, Tan Xiaobing and Sun Maolin, accompanied by Yang Shenghui, secretary of the party committee of the hospital, and Rao Fang, director of the Retired Office, went to the Youth Palace Digital International Cinema to watch "Changjin Lake". The film mainly tells the story of the Chinese Volunteer Army and the US Military in the Chosin Lake area of North Korea, not succumbing to ice and snow, fighting bloodily only for the protection of the mountain and the river, and fully recreating the epic battle of 71 years ago. The battlefield full of artillery fire in the film suddenly pulled the veterans of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea back to the era of hard work and sacrifice, and after watching the movie for about three hours, the mood of the two veterans could not be calmed for a long time.

After watching the film, a forum was held in the conference room on the fifth floor of the administrative office building, attended by Tan Xiaobing, Sun Maolin, Yang Shenghui, secretary of the hospital party committee, Yang Tong, deputy secretary of the party committee and secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, and responsible persons of the Party and Government Office, the Retirement Office, and the Propaganda and United Front Work Department.

First of all, Yang Shenghui and Yang Tong presented flowers and condolence money to the two old heroes and veterans. Yang Shenghui said to the second elder: You are the true heroes who have the courage to take responsibility and defend the country, and the party and the government will not forget the sacrifices you have made for national independence and national liberation.

The two veterans fondly recalled those difficult war years. The elderly Tan Xiaobing said that it is very exciting and honorable to come to see "Chosin Lake" today, because in the Korean battlefield, I have also experienced such days of arduous struggle and bloody struggle as in the movie, and achieved a great victory in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea. Whenever I think of those comrades-in-arms who sacrificed their lives on the battlefield of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, I am very sad that today's peaceful and happy life is indeed not easy to come by.

Recalling the glory days of the past, the elderly Sun Maolin sighed with emotion. He said that he was deeply moved by the immersive battlefield in the movie, listening to the familiar sound of guns and cannons, and reliving the tragic scenes on the battlefield in that year. At the age of 18, under the mobilization of the state, he did not hesitate to sign up for the army and embarked on the battlefield of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea. After experiencing the inhumane bacteria war of the US army, he was sent to the Health School of the North China Military Region Headquarters to learn various medical knowledge and became a hygienist on the battlefield. After the end of the war, he was first assigned to work in the Hunan Provincial Health Center, and then transferred to the Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, where he successively served as the director of the Pharmacy Department, the chief of the Security Section, and the secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission.

In his concluding remarks, Yang Shenghui said: Under the conditions of lack of food and clothing and extreme hardship, the fighters of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea relied on their strong will, united as one and stubbornly fought hard, and they played the spirit of the Chinese people, the peace of the whole of China, and the evergreen foundation of socialist modernization. The great spirit of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea has inspired and educated them to bear hardships and stand hard work, work diligently, and strive to be strong in anger. He hoped that all the cadres and workers of the hospital would base themselves on their own work, take the spirit of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea as the driving force for progress, further inherit and carry forward this spirit, work tenaciously on the new journey, and contribute to the hospital's realization of the 14th Five-Year Plan goals and high-quality development. At the same time, I wish Tan Xiaobing and Sun Maolin, two old heroes, health and longevity, and happiness forever.

No matter how the times develop, we must forge the national style of not being afraid of violence and resisting the powerful; no matter how the times develop, we must gather the national strength of all people who are united in one heart and one mind and work with one heart and one mind; no matter how the times develop, we must forge the national bloodiness of sacrificing life and forgetting death and living toward death; no matter how the times develop, we must stimulate the national wisdom of keeping right and innovating and forging ahead courageously.
