The Classics of the Classics are large-scale political books compiled during the Reign of Emperor Wenzong of the Yuan Dynasty. The eight hundred and eighty volumes of the canon, four articles of the monarchy and six of the courtiers, and more than one hundred and twenty-eight categories under the ten articles, classify and record the imperial genealogy and edicts of the Yuan Dynasty from the rise of the northern desert to the Wenzong Dynasty, as well as the official, ritual music, economy, military, law, craftsmanship and other canonical systems, especially summarizing the replacement and evolution of the canonical system since the founding of the Yuan Dynasty, which is the collection of the Yuan Dynasty canon system, and has a very high historical value. At the beginning of the Ming Dynasty, the "History of the Yuan" was mostly based on the canon. The late Ming Dynasty classics were lost, and only after the middle of the Qing Dynasty did they gradually become valued by scholars, and some compilations and research results appeared, but there is still no more comprehensive compilation. On the basis of the compilation and research of the predecessors, the book "Compilation and Proofreading of the Classics of the Classics" more comprehensively collects the existing texts of the canons, restores the original appearance of the canon to the greatest extent, and provides an important historical book for the academic community to be easy to use.

This book is the first systematic and comprehensive compilation of the "Classics of the Classics" (Compilation and Correction). The idea of this book is clear and clear: the principle of historical origin is collected and scattered in various ancient books, and the original appearance of the book is restored as much as possible, fully reflecting the reductivity and credibility of the collection. This book is compiled sequentially in the canonical framework based on the texts stored in the Yuanwen Class, the surviving texts in the fragments of the Yongle Canon, the Wenting-style compilations, and the quotations in other historical anthologies; And included in the "Chronological Dictionary Table" and "Jingshi Canon Geographical Map". Under the various categories, the compilation is accompanied by a "Record of Examination Anding", which describes the provenance of the text, examines the setting of the relevant categories and the attribution of the text, and explains the situation of the proofreading of different texts. At the end of the text, the appendix is related to the poems, inscriptions, and sayings of the "Classics of the Classics", and lists the "Table of The Texts of the Classics of the Classics" that exist in the fragments of the "Yongle Canon".

The Song Dynasty Fei Shu recorded from the historical records of the past dynasties the deeds of 112 officials who were clean and upright, who contributed to the society, and who were benevolent to the people, and compiled them into a book "Biography of Honest Officials". On the basis of Fei Shu, Huang Ruheng of the Ming Dynasty added 133 characters from five generations ago, and continued to compile 64 people from the Song and Yuan dynasties. It mainly describes how they improved their integrity and how they governed for the people.

Huang Ruheng rated these historical figures as upper, middle and lower. He also added his own brief comments to the end of each incorruptible official's deeds. With a few words, or most crosses, point out why the characters are worth emulating or where they appear to be narrow.

The compiler, Fei Shu, was a native of Chengdu during the Song Dynasty, and his resume is untested. Probably during the reign of Emperor Gaozong of the Song Dynasty, he served as the Governor of Guizhou. The successor, Huang Ruheng, was a scholar in the 26th year of the Ming Dynasty, who served as the chief of jinxianzhi county, the nanjing ministry of works, and the middle post of libu lang, and later called himself a sick retreat, and wrote for his own pleasure.

Lai Ruihe

978-7-101-07962-3

In the middle of the eunuchs, what middle-level official positions would the Tang Dynasty scholars hold? What was the place of these official positions in the entire Tang bureaucracy? What are the major laws for Tang Dynasty scholars to become officials? Can the official positions they often hold be "predicted"? Is there a pattern to look for? These important issues, which almost no one studied in the past, were a major gap in the study of Tang history, and this is exactly what the "Tang Dynasty Middle-level Civil Officials" intends to fill.

The Tang Dynasty Mid-Level Civil Officials is a sequel to the Tang Dynasty Grassroots Civil Officials, which discusses in detail the several official positions that Tang Dynasty scholars often held in middle age, including seven types of Jingguan - Supervision Of Imperial History, Imperial History of The Palace, Imperial History of Serving, Shi Of The Relic, Supplementary Que, Yuanwailang, Langzhong, One Kind of County Official- County Order, One Kind of Prefecture Governor - Silu, Recorder and Join the Army, and One Kind of Shogunate Official - Judge.

In the past, the study of officials was either biased towards Beijing officials or prefecture and county officials, or ignored shogunate officials, which made it impossible to see the typical pattern of Tang Dynasty scholars. The Tang Dynasty Mid-Level Civil Officials combines these three major official systems to examine, covering the broadest scope, and also pays attention to the differences between the pre- and late Tang Dynasties.

The author's writing is vivid, the narrative is concise and clear, and with multiple materials such as history, epitaphs, and Tang Dynasty poems, he recounts various interesting details of the Tang Dynasty scholars' officials, avoids the dryness of the general institutional history treatises, and strives to bring the reader into the dynamic world of the Tang Dynasty officialdom.
