On June 14, 1921, the ninth day of the fifth lunar month, Mr. Xu Fanzeng was born into a martial arts family. Mr. Xu Fanseng's uncle, Mr. Xu Yusheng, initiated the establishment of the Beijing Sports Research Society in the first year of the Republic of China, that is, in 1912, and Mr. Xu Yusheng was the vice president of the Beijing Sports Research Society, and the president was the mayor of Beijing. The purpose of the registration of the Beijing Sports Research Society is to "promote the spirit of martial arts, cultivate a sound citizen, and specialize in the study of the old Chinese martial arts system, excluding religion and political party nature." In 1917, he founded the Beijing Sports Training Institute as an additional institution for the Sports Research Society, and in 1920 it was renamed the Beijing Sports School. The Sports Research Society also aims to "study sports and revitalize the spirit of martial arts".

The year Mr. Xu Fanseng was born, that is, in 1921, the Communist Party of China was founded, which was a groundbreaking event.

In 1926, at the age of six, Mr. Xu Fanseng began to learn the basic martial arts skills, Liuhequan, Yue's scattered hands, Bagua palms, taijiquan and so on from his uncle Xu Yusheng (a disciple of Liu Dekuan and Yang Jianhou).

On December 25, 1928, the board of directors of the Peking Guoshuguan held its inaugural meeting, with Mr. Xu Fanseng's uncle and vice president of the Sports Research Society, Mr. Xu Yusheng, as the deputy director, and Mr. He Qijing, the mayor of Beiping, as the main curator. The purpose of the Beiping Guoshu Museum is to "promote the national art and improve the health of the people in the city".

On February 3, 1929, the Opening Ceremony of the Peking Guoshu Museum was held. Mr. Xu Fanseng learned the internal and external boxing weapons at the Beiping GuoshuGuan, and also learned the shape and meaning of boxing from his cousin Xu Xiaoyu, the fourth brother Xu Zixian to fold the back fist, the Bagua knife from Mr. Han Fushun, and the deer antler from Mr. Zhang Zhongyuan.

In 1932, when Mr. Xu Fanseng was twelve years old, he learned Bagua palm from Mr. Cheng Yougong, a famous bagua palm master, in Datong Park, Changchun.

In 1938 (1930s), Mr. Xu Fanseng went to Tianjin to visit Mr. Zhang Zhe, a famous boxer with a back fist, and happened to meet Teacher Cheng Youxin in the Italian Garden, and studied from Master Cheng for seven years at first sight. Mr. Cheng Youxin is the second son of Cheng Tinghua, the founder of the Bagua Palm of the Cheng School, and is the master of the Bagua Palm of the Program. Mr. Xu Fanseng is the senior disciple of the Bagua Palm Master Mr. Cheng Youxin, and is the fourth generation of the Bagua Palm.

In 1945 (1940s), Mr. Xu Fanseng studied Song's Shape And Yi Quan under the guidance of Mr. Li Yaodong (Zi Xuzhou), a famous Song dynasty figure boxer. Mr. Li Xuzhou was a disciple of Master Song Huchen, the son of Master Song Shirong, the founder of the Song School of Shape-Yi Quan, and was personally passed down by Mr. Song Shirong. Mr. Xu Fanseng is a disciple of the eighth generation of "Huang" zi (The Shanxi school is the "Wei" zi generation) of the Zhiyi Quan.

In addition to the above-mentioned two masters of Bagua Palm Cheng Youxin and Shape Intention Fist Li Xuzhou, Mr. Xu Fanzeng was also taught by the following celebrities, making Chengde's art auspicious.

His enlightening uncle Xu Yusheng was a disciple of Liu Dekuan and Yang Jianhou.

Mr. Han Fushun, the ancestor of Dong Haichuan, gave the Bagua knife;

Cheng Yougong Shi Bo taught a three-way single change of palm;

Mr. Zhang Yiren taught the Bagua palm method based on axial force;

Mr. Shi Zhongyi, a disciple of Cheng Youlong, taught Cheng Youlong to practice;

Zhang Yongde's disciple Mr. Zhou Zunfo taught the method of pressing down and wearing palms;

Zhou Xiang's disciple Mr. Li Shanzhang taught Zhou Xiang to turn the palm;

Mr. Zhang Zhongyuan, a disciple of the Great Gun Liu, taught the antlers;

The fourth cousin Xu Zi first taught him to recite the Fa Root, smash the pile, etc.;

Mr. Wu Yanqing gave Yue Shi a loose hand.

Xu Fanzeng's former teacher once said very humorously in his later years: "Counting up, there are no less than a dozen of my teachers before and after, this may be an opportunity, but in the final analysis, it is because my surname is Xu is not." Throughout his life, Mr. Xu Fanseng has "engraved his heart and will never forget" the teachers who taught him skills.

In 1946, Mr. Xu Fanseng taught at the Peking Guoshu Museum, and together with his cousins Xu Xiaoyu (Xu Xuzeng), Xu Xiaolu (Xu Fuzeng), Xu Zixian (Xu Shaozeng), etc., made important contributions to the inheritance and development of Chinese guoshu.

Mr. Xu Fanseng has been a good martial artist since childhood, Beijing Xu clan, martial arts family, family origin, his Bagua palm, shape and intention boxing technicians are famous, the inheritance is orderly, and many martial arts masters are instructed, hard work, persistent pursuit, continuous progress, set Bagua palm, shape intention boxing, taijiquan and other internal and external boxing masterpieces, martial arts achievements are highly respected, is an important representative inheritor of the history of bagua palm, shape intention boxing inheritance, recognized by all sectors of society as a generation of Chinese martial arts Ming (famous) teachers.

In 1949, the People's Republic of China was founded, and Mr. Xu Fanzeng opened his apprenticeship at the Temple of the Moon in Beijing.

In the 1950s, Mr. Xu Fanseng successively enrolled his disciples Liu Chaorui, Yang Zhizhong, Liu Shengxian, and Shan Pu.

In 1962, the Beijing Wushu Sports Association was established. Mr. Xu Fanseng's cousin, Mr. Xu Xiaolu, is a member of the first committee of the Beijing Wushu Sports Association, and is also a member of the Referee Work Committee and the Changquan Research Group.

In 1962, Mr. Xu Fanseng won the first prize in the Bagua Palm and Short Instruments competition in the Beijing Wushu Observation Competition.

During the construction period of New China, Mr. Xu Fanseng continued to uphold the spiritual concept and purpose of the Beijing Sports Research Society and the Peking Guoshu Museum, and has always insisted on practicing martial arts and teaching apprentices, and worked quietly with many Beijing Xu disciples to carry forward the inheritance of traditional Chinese martial arts.

Mr. Xu Fanseng graduated from Jilin Provincial Higher Agricultural College in his early years, and after several vicissitudes, he changed his career to clinical practice, worked as a doctor at Xiyun Nursing Home in Beijing and retired from this post. With the historical process of reform and opening up, the inheritance and development of Chinese martial arts has also entered a new historical stage, and Mr. Xu Fanseng has also worked hard for the inheritance and development of Chinese martial arts.

In 1980, the Beijing Wushu Sports Association resumed its work and formed the second committee.

In 1980, the Xicheng Wushu Association (Xicheng Wushu Professional Committee) was established, and Mr. Xu Fanzeng was the vice chairman of the Xicheng Wushu Association (Xicheng Wushu Professional Committee).

In 1982, the Xicheng District Wushu Gymnasium was established, with Mr. Xu Fanzeng as the deputy director (director Zhang Yiming, deputy curator Xu Fanseng and Bao Yuzao), and more than 20 classes were held successively, recruiting thousands of students.

From 1983 to 1986, the Wushu Excavation and Sorting Work was carried out, and the Xicheng District Wushu Association set up a Wushu Excavation and Finishing Group, with Mr. Xu Fanzeng as the deputy group leader (group leader Zhang Yiming, deputy team leader Xu Fanzeng and Bao Yuzao), and after hard work, successfully completed the task and won the honorary title of Advanced Collective in Martial Arts Excavation and Finishing In Beijing, and awarded the pennant.

In 1980, Mr. Xu Fanseng and many other gossip masters jointly participated in the initiation of the monument to the tomb of Dong Haichuan's ancestors, and was the main member of the Preparatory Committee for the Relocation of Dong Haichuan's Ancestral Teachers. Mr. Xu Fanzeng, on behalf of the Bagua Palm Cheng Tinghua and Cheng Youxin, personally signed and donated money on the list of initiators of the activity to relocate the tombs of Dong Haichuan's ancestors.

On May 10, 1981, the Bagua palm descendants began to move the coffin of Dong Haichuan's ancestors, and Mr. Xu Fanzeng participated.

On May 17, 1981, the bagua palm heirs held the burial ceremony of Dong Haichuan's ancestors at the Wan'an Cemetery in Beijing, which Mr. Xu Fanzeng attended.

On November 29, 1981, the inauguration ceremony of Dong Haichuan's tombstone was held at the Wan'an Cemetery in Western Beijing, and more than 300 people from the martial arts community in Beijing attended the conference.

On March 7, 1982, the Beijing Municipal Armed Forces Association formally held a meeting to discuss and preliminarily agreed to the application of the Beijing Bagua Palm Colleagues to establish the Bagua Palm Research Association.

On May 23, 1982, the Bagua Palm Research Association held a celebration meeting at the Xinjiekou Workers' Club, which was the first single-fist research meeting established in Beijing, and more than 500 people from the martial arts community participated in the celebration.

Mr. Xu Fanzeng actively supported and participated in the activities of building a monument for the relocation of the tomb of Dong Haichuan's ancestors, signed and donated money on the list of promoters, and together with many initiators, was the main basic participant, initiator and witness of the Establishment of the Bagua Palm Research Association of the Beijing Municipal Armed Forces Association. After the establishment of the Beijing Bagua Palm Research Association, Mr. Xu Fanzeng actively supported the disciples to participate in the work of the Beijing Bagua Palm Research Association, and served as an advisor to the Beijing Bagua Palm Research Association, making great contributions to the inheritance and development of the Bagua Palm.

In May 1982, Mr. Xu Fanseng initiated the organization of the Beijing Shape and Intention Boxing Research Association and served as the leader of the preparatory team. With the support and leadership of the Municipal Armed Forces Association, the preparatory group conducted extensive visits to the city's veterans and influential figures in the field of shape and intention boxing, solicited opinions, and brewed consultations, held five major forums and sixteen small meetings, and over a period of ten months, everyone reached a consensus and applied for the establishment of the Shape and Intention Boxing Research Association.

On March 15, 1983, the Beijing Municipal Armed Forces Association officially approved the establishment of the "Beijing Municipal Armed Forces Association Shape And Yi Quan Research Association".

On April 17, 1983, the Inaugural Meeting of the Beijing Municipal Association of Shape-Yi Quan Research Society was held at the Fuwai Zhenwu Temple, and there were about 2,000 well-known people and representatives from all walks of life in the martial arts community in Beijing, which was the third single-fist research association established in Beijing. Mr. Xu Fanseng proposed that Sun Jianyun be elected as the president of the Beijing Shape-YiQuan Research Association through democratic consultation, and Mr. Xu Fanseng was the vice president of the Beijing Shape-Yiquan Research Association.

On April 15, 1984, the Beijing Shape-YiQuan Research Association held a meeting to celebrate the first anniversary of its establishment, and held a performance conference at the Workers' Club of Xinjiekou in Xicheng, where Mr. Xu Fanseng and others performed on stage.

In 1986, Mr. Xu Fanseng gave a lecture on "A Brief Discussion on the Practice of Shape-Meaning Boxing", and hundreds of learners attended the lecture.

In 1988, the Shape-Yi Quan Research Association was rated as an advanced collective by the Beijing Municipal Sports Commission and the Beijing Wushu Sports Association, and at the end of the year, the second committee of the Shape-Yi Boxing Research Association was elected through a difference, with Mr. Xu Fanzeng as the vice president.

In 1991, the Shape-Intention Boxing Research Association conducted the election of the third committee, and Mr. Xu Fanzeng was the vice president.

In July 1994, the Society for the Study of Shape-Intention Boxing conducted the election of the fourth committee, with Mr. Xu Fanzeng as the vice president.

In 1994, at the Shanxi Taigu National Shape And Intention Boxing Invitational Tournament, Beijing achieved a good result of third place in the team and won the Moral Fashion Award issued by the conference.

In September 1996, the Society for the Study of Shape-Intention Boxing conducted the election of the fifth committee, with Mr. Xu Fanzeng as the vice president.

In 1995, Mr. Xu Fanseng and others participated in the creation and compilation activities convened by the National Wushu Academy on the creation and compilation of the national shape and intention boxing promotion routine.

In August 1995, Beijing organized a team to participate in the International Shape-Intention Boxing Exchange Conference held in Shenzhen, Hebei Province, and achieved good results in the second and third places of the group.

In July 1997, Mr. Xu Fanseng gave a lecture at the Beijing Shape-Meaning Fist Research Association, and Mr. Xu Fanseng gave a lecture on "The Characteristics of Shape-Meaning Boxing".

In August 1998, the Journal of the Beijing Wuxi Association Shape-Yiquan Research Association published Mr. Xu Fanseng's article "Characteristics of Shape-Meaning Boxing".

In 2002, Mr. Xu Fanseng's article "The Inner and Outer "Triad" of Shape-Meaning Fist" was published in the 2000-02 issue of Chinese Martial Arts, which is a classic document in the history of Shape-Meaning Boxing.

Mr. Xu Fanseng initiated the organization and establishment of the Beijing Shape-Intention Boxing Research Association, served as the leader of the preparatory group, from the first to the fifth session has been the vice president, concurrently serving as the leader of the theoretical group, has given many theoretical lectures to the majority of members, and passed on the experience of practicing boxing for many years to future generations without reservation. Mr. Xu Fanseng has done a lot of work for inheriting, carrying forward, researching and promoting Shape And Intention Fist, and has made great contributions to the inheritance and development of Shape and Meaning Fist.

In 1983, Mr. Xu Fanseng was awarded the title of "Excellent Counselor in Martial Arts" in China.

In 1985, Mr. Xu Fanseng won the first place in the traditional boxing of Group A in the Beijing Wushu Competition for the Elderly.

In 1987, Mr. Xu Fanseng won the Wushu Excavation and Finishing Work Award.

In April 1995, Wu Soul Magazine published "Visiting Mr. Xu Fanzeng" (author Zhang Yongchun) in the 4th issue of 1995 (82 issues in total), and the cover of the magazine at the same time was "Xu Fanseng, a famous artist of Beijing Shape And Yi Boxing".

On December 13, 1996, the Wushu Theory, Literature and History Research Association of Beijing Wushu Sports Association was officially approved for establishment, with Mr. Xu Fanzeng as vice president.

On August 28, 1998, Mr. Xu Fanseng participated in the Wushu Theory Literature and History Research Association of the Beijing Wushu Sports Association to hold the world's first knife exhibition and appraisal, which is a command knife cast for the honor guard of the three armies of the Chinese People's Liberation Army.

In 2001, Mr. Xu Fanzeng celebrated his eightieth birthday.

After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Mr. Xu Fanzeng opened his apprenticeship at the Temple of the Moon in Beijing. Mr. Xu Fanseng has many disciples and is silently spreading, promoting and imparting traditional Chinese skills such as Bagua palm and shape-meaning fist.

Around 1980, Mr. Shan Pu, a disciple of Mr. Xu Fanseng, was ordered by his master to teach in Tongzhou, Chaoyang and other places; Mr. Xu Fanseng's re-disciples Li Bin, Bai Jinming, Li Jianjie, Wu Fengqi, Mao Hailing, etc. began to learn martial arts with Mr. Shan Pu, and were personally taught by Mr. Xu Fanseng.

In the mid-1980s, Mr. Xu Fanzeng re-passed on his disciples to the master brother Mr. Bai Jinming, together with Xu Tianjian, son of Mr. Xu Fanzeng, Xu Lishi, daughter of Mr. Xu Fanseng, and others to establish the Beijing Tianshi Metal Processing Factory, which is the predecessor of the Beijing Wuhe Martial Arts Hall. Mr. Bai Jinming founded the Wuhe Martial Arts Gym with the support of his master Xu Fanzeng and His mentor Shan Pu to inherit the spirit and concept of beijing sports research society and Peking Guoshu gymnasium.

In 1995, Mr. Xu Fanseng officially played the banner of "Beijing Xu's" at the first International Invitational Tournament of Shenzhou, and the "Beijing Xu's" team, led by Mr. Shan Pu, a disciple of Mr. Xu Fanseng, achieved a good result of third place in the group.

In 1995, Mr. Xu Fanseng personally established the Xu family door rules in Beijing:

First, absolute compliance with door rules.

Second, do not deceive the teacher and destroy the ancestors, and do not rebel against the teacher for life.

Third, study conscientiously and diligently, not lazy, not greedy, dissatisfied, not dry, humble study, to achieve the ability to understand, understand, practice, and use.

Fourth, do not tamper with the boxing techniques, instruments, and routines taught by the division, allow the essence accumulated by their own experience to be compiled into new routines, and do not allow mixing.

5. If you want to learn the martial arts of others, or if you want to worship others as teachers, you must obtain the consent of the teacher, but it is absolutely not allowed to trade in the martial arts of the teacher. Violators should be evicted from the door wall.

Sixth, abide by the law and discipline, see righteousness and courage, respect the elders, be modest and prudent, self-denial and benevolence, do not bully others with force, and advocate martial virtue.

Mr. Xu Fanseng is an important representative inheritor in the history of the Bagua Palm and Shape Yi Fist inheritance, recognized by all sectors of society as a generation of Ming (famous) teachers of Chinese martial arts, and a famous martial artist. In his later years, Mr. Xu Fanzeng began to systematically sort out what he had learned, and authored the audio tapes of "Bagua Palm", "A Brief Discussion on the Practice of Shape-Meaning Fist", "The Characteristics of Attack and Defense of Shape-Intention Fist and its Strength Principle", and the video tapes of "Bagua Palm" and "Shape-Meaning Fist", and sorted out and created the dragon-shaped Bagua Palm, the Twelve-Shaped Set Essence, the Twelve-Shaped Knife, the Bagua Rolling Body Knife, and the Bagua Cloud Dragon Sword, which made great contributions to promoting the development of martial arts.

Mr. Xu Fanseng combined with the family history inheritance, in order to better carry forward the spirit and concept of Beijing Sports Research Society and Beiping GuoshuGuan, he was officially named "Beijing Xu Family" in 1995. "Beijing Xu Shi" is not a sect, but also advocates breaking the view of the door, adhering to "Xu Wu Shangde", with the purpose of "studying sports, advocating Chinese art, revitalizing the spirit of Shang Wu, improving the health of the people, and cultivating a sound citizen", is an excellent representative of traditional Chinese culture and the inheritance of spiritual virtues of the Chinese nation, Mr. Xu Fanseng can be called a generation of masters of the "Beijing Xu Clan".

On February 14, 2004 (the fourteenth day of the first lunar month), a generation of famous teachers, Mr. Xu Fanzeng, passed away at the age of 84.

After the death of Mr. Xu Fanzeng, many disciples of the Xu clan in Beijing, represented by Mr. Shan Pu, adhered to the legacy of Xu Fanseng's ancestors, carried out the study of Xu Fanseng's martial arts, and made unremitting efforts throughout the country to carry forward the traditional Chinese martial arts skills such as Bagua palm and shape-meaning fist handed down by Xu Fanseng's predecessors.

In 2017, Shan Pu taught and Li Bin wrote the book "Theory of Formula Bagua Palm Technique" officially published by the People's Sports Publishing House, and the name of Xu Fanzeng Martial Arts Research Association was made public. Mr. Li Bin completed the tasks assigned by his mentor Mr. Shan Pu, and also fulfilled a last wish of Master Xu Fan. With the name of Xu Fan Zeng Martial Arts Research Association made public, Mr. Bai Jinming, president of Xu Fan Zeng Martial Arts Research Association, has no hesitation and unshirkable responsibility to shoulder the burden of inheriting Xu Fan Zeng's martial arts and developing the sports culture of Xu Fanseng in Beijing, and with his disciples to open a new stage in the system of Bagua palm and shape fist Beijing Xu Fan Zeng martial arts system. The inheritance and development of the Beijing Wuhe Martial Arts Gym founded by Mr. Bai Jinming with the support of His Master Xu Fanzeng has also entered a new stage, and it has also fulfilled a last wish of Master Xu Fanseng.

On July 28, 2018, the Xu Fanseng Martial Arts Research Association paid tribute to Mr. Xu Fanseng, a master of the first generation, and "Beijing Wuhe Sports Development Co., Ltd." was officially renamed as "Beijing Xuwu Shangde Sports Culture Co., Ltd." The renaming and establishment of Beijing Xuwu Shangde Sports Culture Co., Ltd. is an important milestone in the history of the development of Beijing Xu's martial arts inheritance, marking that the development of Beijing Xu's martial arts inheritance has entered a new era.

On January 19, 2019, at the 7th Member Congress and Renewal Conference of The Beijing Wushu Sports Association, the Beijing Xu wushande sports research society initiated by Liu Shengxian, honorary president of the Xu Fan Zeng Wushu Research Association, Bai Jinming, president of the Xu Fan Zeng Wushu Research Association, and Jiu Dalei, secretary general of the Xu Fan Zeng Wushu Research Association, was officially awarded the 7th Beijing Wushu Sports Association and became the first batch of unit members of the 7th Beijing Wushu Sports Association. Beijing Xuwu Shangde Sports Research Society takes "Xu Wu Shangde" as the concept, with the purpose of "studying sports, advocating national art, revitalizing the spirit of Shangwu, improving the health of the people, cultivating a sound citizen, and helping national rejuvenation", which also marks that the inheritance and development of the Beijing Sports Research Society has entered a new era.

Hereby commemorates the 15th anniversary of the death of Mr. Xu Fanzeng, a ming (famous) master of the Bagua Palm, a famous martial artist and one of the masters of the Xu clan in Beijing! The spirit and career of Xu Fan's former teacher will always exist!
