"After the plan was determined, we purchased a number of pump trucks and sewage pumps and other drainage equipment according to the actual situation of farmland drainage, and deployed 23 sets of high-horsepower drainage machinery to fully support farmland drainage in various counties (cities)." With the vigorous assistance of all parties, the vast number of party members and cadres in Gaozhuang Town, Anyang County, have not waited for help, taken the initiative to attack, overcome multiple difficulties, deployed machinery, and organized the masses to carry out ditch drainage and drainage, and achieved remarkable results. "In addition, for farmland that can be drained by the artesian flow of drainage ditches, local organizations have organized personnel to dredge drainage ditches. For farmland that does not have the conditions for artesian drainage, all localities use pumps to pump water to drain water from the fields. For farmland where there is no water in the field but the soil moisture is too large, the excess cultivated layer is drained by digging deep ditches to stagnant water, so as to promote breathable drying.
In this special action of "cadres and masses marching together to protect the people's livelihood", the relevant responsible persons of the Municipal Water Conservancy Bureau have repeatedly gone deep into the counties (cities) and districts where the disaster has been serious to inspect the water accumulation of farmland, supervise the drainage of farmland, and require the local water conservancy departments to take the work of drainage of farmland as the top priority of the current work, actively carry out disaster relief services, seize the time to eliminate the accumulation of water in farmland, and help restore agricultural production.
As of October 25, a total of 59,032 people were dispatched to drain farmland in the city, 6,649 machines were put into operation, 210.4 kilometers of drainage ditches were dug, and 27,100 hectares were drained. It is reported that there are also 260.67 hectares of waterlogged farmland, mainly concentrated in Huaxian County, Tangyin County and Neihuang County.
