Letter from the Sichuan Provincial Department of Education on the cooperation between Southwest Jiaotong University and Oklahoma State University in the United States to organize undergraduate education programs in environmental engineering

In accordance with the relevant provisions of the Regulations on Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education and the Measures for the Implementation of the Regulations on Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education, our office conducted a preliminary examination of the application documents for the undergraduate education program in environmental engineering jointly organized by Southwest Jiaotong University and Oklahoma State University in the United States. The program is a planned enrollment, with a duration of 4 years (3 years in China and 1 year abroad), with an annual enrollment of 70 students (professional code: 082502). Upon completion, students will receive a Southwest Jiaotong University Undergraduate Diploma, a Bachelor's Degree Certificate, and a Bachelor's Degree Certificate from Oklahoma State University.

The project aims to cultivate high-end technical talents and management talents with home-country feelings, international vision, cross-cultural communication skills, service to the country and even the global environmental engineering field, which meets the needs of higher education and economic development talent training in our province, and is a high-quality educational resource that really needs to be introduced. After research, it is proposed to agree to southwest jiaotong university and Oklahoma State University in the United States to cooperate in organizing an undergraduate education program in environmental engineering, and the relevant application materials are submitted later.
