According to the British "Metropolis Daily" reported on March 29, Brendan and Brittany Uniacke from the United States have an Australian Shepherd named Chase. Because of iris, the dog's two eyes are different in color and look unique.

Brittany said: "A lot of people ask me if its blue eyes are blind, but it's not, it sees clearly in both eyes. This eye disease is common in Australian Shepherds, especially the meteorite-colored Australian Shepherd. Some people think that pairing two sheepdogs of this coat color can breed puppies with beautiful heterochromatic eyes, but unfortunately, doing so usually results in puppies becoming blind or deaf, and possibly both blind and deaf. ”

Musician David Bowie was thought to suffer from the same ailment and asked if Chase was named after him, but the musician actually had two pupils of different sizes instead of eyes of different colors.

Brittany enjoys sharing Chase's photos online, and a lot of people message her. "I've received private messages from netizens in Brazil, Sweden, Italy and other countries who are looking forward to posts about Chase every day," she says. It's been fantastic that it's brought light not only to our homes, but to people around the world, especially during this pandemic. (Compiled and reported by China Youth Network)
