On October 27, as the countdown to the Beijing Winter Olympics entered the 100-day timeline, many departments have introduced the latest measures to fully guarantee the holding of the Winter Olympics. The Municipal Communications Administration has launched a "one museum, one policy" guarantee plan, and the State Administration of Taxation has joined hands with the Beijing Winter Olympic Organizing Committee to award a license to the designated tax service department for the VAT refund of the Winter Olympics, building a bridge for communication and exchange between the tax authorities and the international community.

The Municipal Communications Administration said that since the start of the Winter Olympics communication support work, the bureau has issued the Winter Olympics communication support work plan, set up an industry support leading group, deployed six key tasks covering the construction of communication facilities, game operation guarantee, network information security, etc., and comprehensively docked with the Winter Olympic Organizing Committee and the command organs at all levels of the ministry and the city, and strived to achieve no dead ends and seamless management.

Not only that, the Municipal Communications Administration has also dynamically assessed and improved risk points, highlighted key areas and key links, formulated targeted response strategies, and compiled and completed the "one museum, one policy" of the Communication Guarantee Program of the Capital Gymnasium Venue Group, the National Speed Skating Hall and the National Snowmobile Bobsleigh Center. In addition, this year, the Municipal Communications Administration also organized 35 site surveys and technical tests.

The Municipal Communications Administration also disclosed that as the only official communication service partner for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, Unicom has also realized the "Winter Olympic 5G Smart Viewing" in a number of venues, including the National Speed Skating Hall, providing users with a variety of services such as free viewing of the game, wonderful playback of bullet time, and personalized video sharing. On the same day, the leadership team of Beijing Unicom also awarded flags to the communication support teams of the 17 Winter Olympic Games that will be launched, striving to win the Olympic Games with the highest working standards, supporting the Winter Olympics with strong and comprehensive network capabilities, and serving the "Smart Winter Olympics" empowered by 5G with high-quality and advanced Winter Olympic products.

According to reports, since the launch of the Series of Winter Test Matches in Beijing, the Municipal Communications Administration has also sent 12 people to participate in the remote duty of the Technical Operation Center of the Winter Olympic Organizing Committee, 66 people to participate in the on-site support of the venue, and 96 people to form a mobile team to continuously improve the level of communication support.

"The Winter Olympics have entered the sprint stage of decisive victory, and the Municipal Communications Administration will re-plan and redeploy the communication support work during the game, refine and improve the support plan and emergency plan, and deepen and refine the risk management and hidden danger investigation, so that the level of communication support can be further improved and then broken." The relevant person in charge of the Municipal Communications Administration bureau said.

On the same day, the State Administration of Taxation also disclosed that it has jointly with the Beijing Winter Olympic Organizing Committee to award medals to the designated tax service departments for the five Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games in Beijing and Hebei, including the First Tax office of the Beijing Chaoyang District Taxation Bureau, and the VAT refund for their test matches.

In the future, these five tax service departments will make every effort to do a good job in vat refund services for the Beijing Winter Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, build a bridge between the tax authorities and the international community, and show China's good tax business environment.

Xie Wen, director of the Department of Goods and Services Tax of the State Administration of Taxation, introduced that in order to support the smooth hosting of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, China will refund the VAT burden of procurement expenses related to the Winter Olympics by specific entities in China, and the five designated tax service departments in Beijing and Hebei will handle the offline tax refund application business.
