A few days ago, the "1997.7.16" intentional homicide case has made new progress, the criminal suspect Ou XX was prosecuted by the Hanzhong procuratorate, after he cut and killed his cheating wife and left a note of "murderer Ou XX" and absconded for 23 years, until he was caught last year.
According to the indictment, Ou Moumou is a Zheng native of southwest Shaanxi and was born in 1966.
Around 1997, he found that his wife had an affair with Tao Mou, a villager in the village, so he wanted to divorce him and sued the court, but his wife did not agree, and the contradiction between the two deepened.
From the evening of July 15, 1997 to the early morning of July 16, Ou moumou and his wife quarreled and scolded at home because of the divorce matter, he remembered his wife's cheating, so he took a kitchen knife to cut his wife, and when his wife saw the situation and fled to the tobacco field in front of the house, he was chased by Ou mou.
Subsequently, Ou Moumou used a kitchen knife to slash several knives into his wife's chest and abdomen, causing his wife's abdomen to be cut open and die.
After the incident, Ou Moumou discarded the kitchen knife next to his wife's body, and left a note with the words "Murderer Ou Moumou" and absconded.
On October 20, 2020, after 23 years of absconding, Ou was finally arrested by the police.
According to the news of Ping An Hanzhong, in 2020, the police of the "1997.7.16" special case team of the Nanzheng Branch of the Hanzhong Public Security Bureau went to Aksu City, Xinjiang, and after many days of fighting, it was difficult to overcome the difficulties, and successfully captured Ou Moumou, a suspect who had been absconding for 23 years and deliberately murdered a backlog.
On the morning of October 27, the police of the special case team successfully escorted Ou Moumou back to Han. At this point, the "1997.7.16" intentional homicide case was solved.
After interrogation, the criminal suspect Ou Moumou confessed to the criminal facts of intentional homicide 23 years ago.
The prosecution believes that Ou Moumou could not correctly handle the emotional dispute, used kitchen knife chopping methods to kill the victim, and his behavior violated the provisions of article 232 of the Criminal Law of the People's Republic of China, the facts of the crime were clear, the evidence was indeed sufficient, and he should be investigated for criminal responsibility for intentional homicide. His wife is at fault and may be given a lighter punishment to Ou as appropriate.
