The Killer: A small-budget suspense film

The Killer is a 75-minute suspense horror film directed by Lee Ki-wook and starring Ma Dong-seok, Andok-kyu, and Kim Hyun-so, which was released in South Korea in 2014.

At the beginning of the story, the male protagonist Zhu Xie (Ma Dongxi) found out that his wife was cheating, killed his wife and the little three men, and then lived in a remote town with his son Long Hao (Andaokui), on this day the town moved a little girl with the same lonely personality, Ji Xiu (Jin Hyun Xiu), in the process of getting along, Long Hao and Ji Xiu gradually became good friends, on a trip when Zhu Xie sent Zhi Xiu and his mother home, Zhi Xiu was surprised to find that Zhu Xie was the murderer who almost killed him that year, because of Zhi Xiu's sake, Long Hao also found that his father was a murderer and had a mental breakdown After the teacher said the sentence "blood does not lie", Long Hao naively thought that as long as he drank the blood of a good person, he would become a good person and continue to be friends with Zhixiu, at the end of the film, Long Hao stabbed the knife into his father, and the father inserted the knife deep into his body and chose to be liberated.

Watching the whole film, I feel that the director wants to express a lot of things but limited to the length of time, the male protagonist has mental problems after killing the cheating wife and the man, resulting in hallucinations, and then killing people one after another, but he is very good to his son, from childhood to teach him not to have disputes with people, tolerate everywhere, after witnessing his father is a murderer, Long Hao thinks that he is also a bad person, seeing his father's appearance in the mirror, falling into darkness. The image of the teacher in the film is sunny and positive, from the beginning of caring for and guiding Long Hao, until she said that "blood will not deceive people", directly crushing the last straw in Long Hao's heart and laying the curse. Uncle Ma Dongxi's acting skills are impeccable, and the eyes with blood are daunting, especially in the last scene, after inserting the knife into his body and saying "insert it a little deeper", at this time in the eyes of his son, he is no longer a murderer, but loves his father, giving light to his son who is in the dark. At the same time, the film also emphasizes the importance of the original family, two children from single-parent families are lonely, both caused by cheating parents, and the influence of parents on children is too great.

Compared with other suspense films of the same type, this film is not a classic, purely supported by the acting skills of "Shenma Dongxi", and the friends who like the cute uncle can look at it.
