In the workshop of Sany Heavy Industry's Beijing Piling Factory, digital transformation has brought about a leap from "manufacturing" to "intelligent manufacturing". Multiple unmanned handling machines loaded with 5G technology can achieve collaborative work, and intelligent industrial robots are deeply applied in high-precision assembly and other fields. The staff told the "Economic Information Daily" reporter that in the face of the changing demand of the multi-variety, small-batch construction machinery market, the factory has increased labor productivity by 85% through applications such as artificial intelligence, industrial Internet, and Internet of Things, and shortened the production cycle from 30 days to 7 days.
This is just one example. According to data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, as of the end of August, the penetration rate of digital R&D and design tools and the numerical control rate of key processes reached 74.7% and 54.2% respectively, with more than 100 industrial Internet platforms with certain industry and regional influence, and the total number of connected industrial equipment reached 76 million units (sets).
The digital transformation of the industry highlights the surging power of the digital economy. In 2020, the scale of industrial digitalization reached 31.7 trillion yuan, accounting for 31.2% of GDP.
The new round of multi-sector support measures has been intensively increased. Xiao Yaqing, minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will make overall plans for intelligent manufacturing projects, digital transformation actions in the manufacturing industry and digital empowerment actions for small and medium-sized enterprises, so that digital technology can better empower the development of large and medium-sized enterprises and enhance the resilience and resilience of the industrial chain supply chain. Sun Wei, deputy director of the Department of Innovation and High-tech Development of the National Development and Reform Commission and a first-level inspector, also said that it is necessary to promote the in-depth integration of digital technology and the real economy. Continue to promote the implementation of digital transformation partner actions to empower traditional enterprises to upgrade digitally and intelligently.
Sun Ke, deputy director of the Institute of Policy and Economics of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, told the Economic Information Daily that the digital transformation has been accelerated in an all-round way, new models and new formats have been deepened, the "non-contact economy" such as online shopping, online education, and telemedicine has been fully accelerated, and a number of typical scenarios such as remote equipment control, on-site auxiliary operation, product quality inspection, and intelligent production logistics have been explored in the field of industrial production. In the future, the economic scale driven by the digital transformation of the industry will continue to expand, and the proportion of the entire digital transformation will continue to rise.
Digital industry clusters will expand
In the first three quarters, the added value of the electronic information manufacturing industry increased by 16.8% year-on-year, an increase of 9.6 percentage points over the same period last year; the software business revenue was 6,900.7 billion yuan, an increase of 20.5% year-on-year; the development of artificial intelligence, cloud computing, big data and other industries achieved remarkable results... Since the beginning of this year, the digital industry has continued to open up a new blue ocean of growth.
The "2021 China Digital Economy Development Report" released by the China Electronics Information Industry Development Research Institute pointed out that the digital industry is becoming a common choice for all localities planning the development of the "14th Five-Year Plan" industry. Among the 25 advanced manufacturing clusters jointly built by the ministry and the province, 40% of them are led by digital industry.
Wang Juan, secretary general of the Digital Economy Committee of the Beijing Computer Society, told the Economic Reference Daily that for key areas such as big data, artificial intelligence, industrial Internet, virtual reality and augmented reality, different regions such as Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Yangtze River Delta, Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao have given full play to their leading and demonstration roles to form an internationally competitive digital industrial cluster; Fuzhou, Hefei, Chongqing, Guiyang and other places have also formed their own unique digital industrial clusters to promote high-quality development.
Looking forward to the next step, digital industry clusters in key areas are expected to accelerate their expansion. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said that it will further promote the digital industry to become bigger and stronger. Focusing on the seven key industries and ten digital application scenarios listed in the "14th Five-Year Plan" outline, we will focus on promoting the development of strategic emerging industries such as big data, artificial intelligence, and blockchain with application as the traction, focus on cultivating an open source ecology, and create an internationally competitive digital industry cluster.
Local deployments have also been made. For example, Guangdong Province will accelerate the cultivation of a new generation of electronic information, software and information services, ultra-high-definition video display, intelligent robots, digital creativity and other strategic industrial clusters in the field of digital economy, it is expected that by 2025, the operating income of Guangdong digital industry cluster will exceed 10.7 trillion yuan; Guizhou has made it clear that the big data industry cluster is one of the pillar industrial clusters, and it is expected that by 2025, the scale of the province's big data industry cluster will reach 300 billion yuan.
Promote deep integration with the real economy
In the view of experts, under the catalysis of a series of favorable policies, the development of the digital economy will usher in a new climax. At the same time, it should also be noted that the level of integrated development of the digital economy and the real economy needs to be improved, and it is necessary to further exert the amplification, superposition and multiplication effect of digital technology on economic development.
"To become stronger, better and bigger, the digital economy fundamentally lies in promoting the deep integration of digital technology and industry." Sun Ke said that the next step is to enhance the ability of independent innovation, put the construction of core technology application system and product ecosystem in a prominent position, and promote cross-border innovation of industry enterprises, platform enterprises and technical service enterprises. Continue to promote the integration of the two innovations and development, strengthen pilot demonstrations such as intelligent manufacturing and industrial Internet, and accelerate the cultivation and expansion of new models and new formats for integrated development. Classify policies and implement policies according to industry, and accelerate the digital transformation of industries in key areas.
