Dream Spirit (DreamSpirit) is a Hanfeng metal band composed of young musicians from all over the country, formed at the foot of Mount Taishan in the Five Peaks, and now lives in Beijing. The Mengling Band continues and develops the form and tradition of metal music with Chinese characteristics since the Tang Dynasty and the Spring and Autumn Festival. Different from many combinations of ethnic minority music splicing modern music in China, Mengling Band is one of the few music groups in China that integrates traditional Han music with Western traditional heavy metal music. In order to better convey the spiritual connotation and values in classical Chinese culture to the audience, they pay more attention to the expression of lyrics: traditional ancient poems, literary texts, or vernacular expressions to reflect the Chinese classical artistic conception contained in the songs. In July 2015, dream spirit band, which has experienced large-scale domestic tours, was invited to Germany and participated in two major rock festivals in a row: "Ragnarock Open Air" in central Germany and "Wacken Open Air", the world's largest heavy metal rock music festival. Their distinctive oriental attire and refreshing oriental metal music have made them stand out from many bands from all over the world, and have been well received and enthusiastically responded to by local music industry professionals and audiences, which is also the first time that Chinese bands of this genre have appeared on the stage of two outdoor music festivals in Europe.
In August 2016, Mengling was invited to Vladivostok, Russia, to perform at the "Far East Music Event V-ROX" music festival, sharing the stage with artists from 11 other countries and regions, and was praised by the local media as one of the highlights of the festival. After returning from Russia, Meng Ling was invited to Busan, South Korea to perform at the "Busan Rock Music Festival", which brought a wonderful scene to Korean music fans in the rain, which won unanimous praise from the organizers and the audience.

From the 10,000-person stage of the Metaldays Outdoor Music Festival to the boat cruise and downtown square on the Danube River, Mengling has touched the hearts of tens of millions of European music fans with modern music that carries traditional Chinese culture.
In September 2018, the Band received an invitation from the German-Chinese Friendship Exchange Association in Cologne, Germany, and once again went to Europe, with the help of many institutions, including the Confucius Institute, for a week-long cultural exchange visit called "Heavy Metal, China's Loudest Subculture" in Cologne, Bonn and Groningen, the Netherlands.
In addition to the normal performance activities, the Dream Spirit Band was also invited to cologne city hall to give a keynote speech and live unplugged performance of "Heavy Metal Music Culture in China" for local good people from all walks of life who are committed to Chinese and German friends, including the mayor of Cologne. During this week, the Mengling Band used the modern rock music that the West "years" was happy to accept and the unique scene of their "combination", so that Chinese culture shined on the other side of the ocean.
In July 2019, after a four-year absence, Dreaming was once again invited by WACKEN OPEN AIR, the world's largest metal music festival, to bring their wonderful scenes to the "Wackinger Stage" on a large stage for folk metal bands in the "Wackinger Stage" during the Golden Time, and Mengling's experience of appearing on the "Wacken Open Air" stage twice is also rare in the entire Asian metal music scene.
Prior to this, Mengling took the lead in flying to Moscow, the capital of Russia, and stepped on the main stage of the "FOLKSUMMER" "Ballad Metal Music Festival". This trip to Europe once again conquered the discerning Russian and German music fans with its strength and passion for Chinese metal music.
To date, Mengling is the most frequent and frequent Chinese metal band that has toured overseas, and in just 5 years, their footprints have spread to more than ten countries.
