Although the clouds were thick outside today, the students were still very enthusiastic and came to participate in the new set film exchange meeting and the closing ceremony of the new studio film festival held in the large lecture hall.
Shen Yang, head of the new set, Yao Zubiao, director of "Sinkhole People's Home", Yuan Mengchun, director of "The Return of the Soul", as well as teachers Qian Jianhua, Zhang Peng, Cao Juan, Yang Hao and Gao Chao, participated in the closing ceremony.
The closing ceremony officially began, and the exhibition showed six excellent films, "Sister", "NH4+", "Love Mountain", "Isabella", "Return of the Soul" and "Sinkhole People".
These six films have different styles, but they are all well-made and very careful.
After carefully watching the film, the lottery of the film festival was carried out, and the audience actively participated, which adjusted the atmosphere of the venue.
The students asked questions about the film to director Yao Zubiao and director Yuan Mengchun.
The directors spoke about their creative process. Director Yao Zubiao lived in the sinkhole for a year in order to take materials when filming "Sinkhole People's Home"; through uninterrupted shooting, he deeply understood the life of people in the sinkhole and established a deep emotion.
Director Yuan Mengchun borrowed money to make a film in order to shoot "The Return of the Soul" and made unremitting efforts to realize his film dream.
Through the directors' stories, the students had a deeper understanding of the story behind the creation of the film, and understood what they should do and how they should do as a filmmaker.
In the audience question session, the students spoke freely, and the directors also answered carefully, answering each question of the students in detail. We can feel the sincerity of the directors, and they must hope that the students will realize their film dreams as soon as possible and join their camp.
At the end of the closing ceremony, Shen Yang, the head of the university on the new set, told the story of the new set, which also allowed us to get closer to the new studio film festival and more effectively appreciate the connotation of the new set.
