In Tan Yuanchun's youth, he traveled between mountains and rivers, and his footprints traveled through the mountains and rivers of Jingchu Land. Everywhere he went, pen and ink accompanied, poetry and books were friends, poetry was written, and his ambitions were expressed alone. Just like the crane in the clouds, it melts into its nature. He traveled extensively throughout his life, but his visits to Wuchang (present-day Ezhou, Hubei) achieved the peak of his literary creation. In the first year of the Apocalypse, Tan Yuanchun's former friend Meng Deng (Zi Xian) invited him to visit Wuchang, and since then Tan Yuanchun has formed an indissoluble relationship with Wuchang. Tan Yuanchun wrote in the poem "Meng's Birthday First Beckons You to Wuchang": "Closed door spring and summer can be idle, can be placed between the mountains and waters: a night of autumn wind to spread the thoughts of guests, books come to ask me to go to the West Mountain." After Tan Yuanchun came to Wuchang, he was warmly received by his friend Meng Deng. Meng Deng set up a new first floor in Xishan, dedicated to Tan Yuanchun's living; Ri and Tan Zi "wandered between the lake and the valley, made good travel places, and exchanged poems." Accompanied by Meng Deng, Tan Yuanchun traveled to Wuchang's Xishan, Geshan, Leishan, Nanhu, Luhuazhou, etc. in Wuchang for about a year from the second year of the Apocalypse to the spring of the following year; he also visited his friends in Macheng, Tuanfeng, Puzhou, and Huangzhou, and many times went to Jiangxia Jiufeng, Xiakou Yellow Crane Tower, and other places to recite poems; he also went to Huangshi Xisai Mountain and other places to stay for a few days. In that year, the thirty-six-year-old Tan Yuanchun wrote more than seventy famous poems.

On April 8 of the second year of the Apocalypse, Tan Yuanchun and Meng Deng's old friend climbed the West Mountain, "Vegetables are eaten at Hanxi Temple for a long time." "On the day of ascending the West Mountain, the mountain rained in the forest, and the Sound of Brahma was low and wet. Tan Yuanchun and Meng Deng strolled idly into the Hanxi Temple. As soon as I entered the temple door, I saw that there were six inscriptions and poems above the temple. Tan Yuanchun stood for a long time and chanted incessantly. Meng Deng introduced to Tan Yuanchun that this poem was composed by Chen Zhi'an (Zi Jingqing), an old order of Wuchang, who was a good county order who "transformed people with virtue and dressed people with etiquette", and he left a poem here before leaving office, which was intended to educate the Yi people. Tan Yuanchun felt his elegance and immediately asked the monks in the temple to take paper and pencil to admit the whole poem. On this day, he had the feeling to write down his masterpiece of life, "Chen Wuchang Hanxi Temple Liubi Six Poems". In the article, Tan Yuanchun highly praised Chen Wuchang's theory of governance of "not treating the world with decay, and not treating others with decaying people", and vigorously advocated the idea of saving the country and saving the people by "making people moral." It was the evening of the evening, Tan Yuanchun's rainy night was sleepless, and he gave a poem to exclamate: "The mountain rain crosses the mountain stream, and the grass babbles." Harukasan Temple listens, known as a bodhisattva spring. Manjushri is not light, and the stream is as white as smoke. Vegetables are relative, so they forget to spend their days. Looking up at the temple door, there was a plate of dust hanging in it. There are six ancient poems on it, and the words are like large pieces. The old man recited it to the halfway point, and the mountain monk recorded it in its entirety. Extraordinary, self-reliant as ever. The world is unwilling to be she, but to stand firm. Fish deer I all things, benevolent heart Zhou Tianyuan. To sue The Queen, Yin, is in a state of turmoil. An Neng wrote poetry books and sought to be dedicated. Ann can be negative in nature, to go to the world first. The grass has been ancient, and it has been looking at it for thousands of years. The mountain monk loves me and sleeps together at the end of the rainy night. ”

Tan Yuanchun and Meng Deng lived in Xishan for several days and have been living in Hanxi Temple. He went up the mountain during the day to watch the scenery, and at night he talked with the mountain monks about Zen. It is with him written in the poem "Gifting Hui Guang Monk": "Bring the monk to the temple and the monk's heart, and listen to the outer voice of Liao Lonely Void." Only the mountain monks know the path of the monks and lead them out of the forest through the stones. This time Hanxi Temple stayed, and he also formed a deep friendship with the monks in the temple. The mountain monks loved his calligraphy and specially asked Tan Yuanchun to write the inscription "Hanxi Ancient Temple" and erect it at the gate of the West Mountain Entrance Temple. Leaving Xishan, Tan Yuanchun is still in love, and he wrote in the poem "Into the West Mountain": "Can gradually bury the spring and summer in the dust, and leave the autumn heart and the good mountain." The green is too anxious to meet this, and the wild clouds have never been idle. "His love of mountains and rivers is overflowing with words. Shortly after going up the West Mountain this time, he went up to the West Mountain twice at the invitation of the wen friend Liu Danyin. He also wrote several poems such as "Liu Danyin Invites a Tour to the West Mountain of Hanxi". Tan Yuanchun's trip to the West Mountain had a profound impact on his literary creation. After leaving Xishan for several years, Chen Zhi'an of Wuchang County, who had left poems at Hanxi Temple, had gone to Xinhua County to serve as the county magistrate, admired Tan Yuanchun's talent, and wrote to Tan Yuanchun to write an epitaph for his grandfather and father. After reading these famous passages of Tan Yuanchun, Huang Zongxi, a generation of grandmasters, said that Tan Yuanchun's texts "all flow out one by one, washing the breath of the books and building blocks, and worrying between people's hearts and lungs, such as swallowing incense and spitting out the will, although Su Ou can't pass it." ”

Tan Yuanchun not only left many famous poems and beautiful texts in Xishan, but also visited the scenic spots in other parts of Wuchang. He once went to Leishan twice and wrote famous poems such as "Erxia Invites You to Visit Leishan Ten Rhymes". In the poem he praised Thunder Mountain as "not after the western mountains". Its scenery is "Lin Qiu is more obscure, and the insects and birds are also true." The tree point knows that the continent is not there, and the level is seen in peace. Flat boat Fankou clip, Noji Ridge waist horizontal. Don't have a pond to divide the valley, bypass the path into the city. "The smoke stands outside the peak, and the sunset in the river is born." What makes Tan Yuanchun most unforgettable is the South Lake of Wuchang. On August 15, the second year of the Apocalypse, he and Meng Deng and other friends traveled to the South Lake, drinking and chanting in the boat, and returned late at night. This time, he successively wrote poems such as "South Lake Swinging Boat Introduction", "August 15th Birthday First Beckoning Pan South Lake", "Jiang Night and Meng Birthday First Liu Tongren Look at the Moon", and repeatedly praised the poetic meaning of "August Cold Birth Wuchang Lake" and "New Moon Full lake unknown".

What really made Tan Yuanchun fall in love with Wuchang was Lu Deng, a Wuchang man. Lu Deng,Zi Zhi Xian ,37 years in the Ming Dynasty; Because he hated the sinister officialdom, he resigned his official position and went into hiding in the Valley of the Western Mountains. When he was young, he and Tan Yuanchun read together in Jiufeng Mountain, and the two had a deep friendship and have been like-minded ever since. Tan Yuanchun once said, "To the best friend of the institute, Meng Xian, the odd man." "To Wuchang, rate ten years and five to its land, or two or three times a year, all to give you Meng's birthday at home for a period of time." Every time Tan Yuanchun went to Wuchang, he lived in Meng Deng's house, traveled together when he went out, and read together when he returned. Every time you swim outside, you sing and harmonize with each other; when you are different from your hometown, you will write poems and books. Tan Yuanchun once said in the "Preface to the Recent Draft of Jiyan Lou" written for Meng Deng that although Wuchang went to Jingling for six hundred miles, as long as there was a river boat encounter, both sides would take away their recently written poems and exchange ideas with each other. The mutual friendship between Meng Deng and Tan Yuanchun also became a good story in the literary world. In Tan Yuanchun's own words, it can really be said that "wild clouds love each other and have not been idle".
