71 years ago today, Ren Bi, the outstanding leader of the party and the army, died of exhaustion at the age of 46.
Late at night three days before his death, Ren Bishi was still working on the case: the lamp on the table was still on, there were many medicine bottles under the lamp, the map of the Korean battlefield hung on the wall, and he was still studying the situation of the volunteer army entering the Korean war. Marking the map with the last red circle, he casually flipped the calendar to a new page— October 25. In the early morning of this day, Ren Bishi's condition deteriorated, and although he tried his best to rescue him, his condition did not improve. Two days later, he passed away, completing his life of fighting for the people.
After Ren Bishi's death, Chairman Mao personally wrote an inscription for him: "Comrade Ren Bishi's revolutionary spirit is immortal. Ye Jianying commented in an article published in the People's Daily: "He is the camel of our party, the camel of the Chinese people, shouldering a heavy burden, walking a long and arduous road, without rest, without enjoyment, without any personal calculations." "
Ren Bishi's life was short but glorious. He was a young man with surging enthusiasm, who left his hometown at the age of 17 and went to Soviet Russia, setting up a grand ambition to seek happiness for the people; he was an outstanding general with outstanding merits, galloping on the battlefield and strategizing, and at the age of 34 he entered the highest leadership of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army; he was a wise and wise founding father, who put on his liver and guts, bowed to the best of his ability, and devoted his last efforts to the party and the people. Step by step, in the entire 30 years of revolutionary career, he fought bravely with iron will and tenacious spirit, and contributed everything to the cause of the independence of the Chinese nation and the liberation of the Chinese people.
