The 38-year-old Chen Xuan won the Men's Doubles championship at the Athens Olympics in 2004, an achievement that made his hometown Nantong the only prefecture-level city in China to achieve gold medals in the past four Olympic Games. In the following years, Chen Xuan won the world table tennis championships and the World Cup many times. After chen Xuan retired, he taught in the Jiangsu Provincial Table Tennis Team for the first few years, was selected into the national team coaching team at the end of 2018, and has shown great talent in the position of national table tennis coach in recent years, and his supervisor Xu Xin has won the Olympic and World Championships many times from 2019 to 2021.
