Zhao Zhao is a post-80s contemporary artist who pays attention to the upheavals in contemporary China and thinks about people's living conditions in a global context. The avant-garde artist's exhibition is the first to be seen in a secluded Chinese courtyard on the edge of the Forbidden City, with a touch of classicism. "Pink" reminds people of delicate life, but also has the meaning of warmth and ambiguity. The exhibition cites four ancient poems, including Wang Wei's "Mountain Residence is a Thing", and explains the four themes of the exhibition, covering 15 paintings, one installation and one video work.

The video work "Eating Jade" is the center of the entire exhibition, which quotes the story of the ancient Chinese Wei and Jin Xiu Xian yu, exploring the relationship between food and immortality, appetite and reproduction, diet and nature. Many of the paintings in the exhibition depict the theme of "Fulu Shou", including shou peach, crane, bamboo shoots, etc., these foods in ancient China have a beautiful meaning, through food culture to reflect people's spiritual world.

It is worth noting that in the exhibition hall, there is also a painting created by Zhao Zhao at the time of the new crown virus in 2020, "Bat Arrived", which was auctioned for 200,000 yuan in the online charity auction at the beginning of the year, and all the proceeds were used to fight the epidemic. The exhibition will be on view until March 7, 2021.
