The 2021 Shaoguan "Danxia Cup" Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition for Returnees is jointly sponsored by the Shaoguan Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau and 11 municipal units, closely focusing on major work deployments such as entrepreneurship and innovation and rural revitalization, through extensive excavation of projects, entrepreneurial mentors, roadshow display exchanges, policy resource support and other means, jointly promote the docking and integration of projects, talents and resources, promote more high-quality projects to land in Shaocheng, and effectively promote the local economic development.
With the theme of "Showing Entrepreneurial Passion and Helping the Development of Shaoguan", the competition focused on the "two articles" of rural revitalization and women's entrepreneurship, and set up 2 individual competitions of "Rural Entrepreneurship Competition and Wealth Creation Competition", attracting a total of 289 projects and more than 1100 returnees to participate, after nearly 4 months of intense competition, 24 award-winning projects were produced and achieved good social response.
"After grinding through this year's 'Danxia Cup', our whole team is becoming more and more confident." Tan Xueping, head of the "Mountain Spring Water Ginkgo Pure Brewing" project, said that the project will actively make good use of the rich ginkgo resources in Nanxiong, the "hometown of China's ginkgo", and promote the development and growth of the ginkgo industry. After the project is put into operation, it is expected to provide many jobs and drive the employment of local villagers in Nanxiong. "We are ready to train a group of professional winemakers in the local area to expand the scale of the industry together." Tan Xueping said.
This year's "Danxia Cup" has entered its fourth year, the annual organizational form is eclectic, and has attracted more than 1,100 projects to register for the competition, with more than 5,000 participants. Nearly 30% of the outstanding projects were selected to be sent to the provincial competition and some of them won good results, 40% of the award-winning projects were preferentially arranged to settle in the entrepreneurial incubation base, and more than 50% of the team group award-winning projects were successfully settled in Shaocheng. Since the "Danxia Cup" competition was held, Shaoguan City has provided more than 30 million yuan in funding for outstanding entrepreneurial projects.
