To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, the "Right Way in the World is vicissitudes - The History of the Communist Party of China in Nanjing" will be exhibited on july 1, 2021.
The exhibition is located at No. 1 Dujiang Road, Nanjing City, at the mouth of the Yangtze River at the mouth of the Qinhuai River, led by the Propaganda Department of the Nanjing Municipal Party Committee, the Party History Office of the Municipal Party Committee, and the Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, and jointly organized with the relevant departments of the city and various districts.
The theme of the exhibition is "Not Forgetting the Original Intention and Keeping the Mission in Mind", and the main line of struggle of the people of Nanjing in carrying out revolution, construction and reform under the leadership of the Communist Party of China is the main line.

More than 80,000 words, more than 660 pictures, more than 30 videos, more than 480 pieces (sets) of cultural relics, and more than 10 scene models show the glorious course of revolution, construction and reform of the people of Nanjing under the leadership of the Communist Party of China.
Nanjing was one of the first areas in China to spread Marxism, an important area for the early communist party organization activities, and an important witness to the overthrow of the Kuomintang's reactionary rule by the Communist Party of China, leading the hidden front to carry out struggle, development, and consolidation of the united front.

01 Nanjing was one of the first regions in China to spread Marxism
In 1919, the light of Marxism was already shining in Nanjing.
The Russian October Revolution brought Marxism-Leninism to China with the sound of a cannon. On July 1, 1919, the Juvenile Chinese Society initiated by Li Dazhao and others was officially established, and on November 1 of the same year, Shen Zemin and others prepared to establish the Nanjing Branch.
From July 1 to 4, 1921, the Junior Chinese Society held its second annual meeting in Mei'an, Southeast University, Nanjing.
In 1924, after the association moved to Nanjing, it became the base camp for the later activities of the Young Chinese Society.

02 The first person to spread Marxism in Nanjing - Zhang Wentian
During the May Fourth period, Zhang Wentian published an article "Social Problems" in the Journal of the Nanjing Federation of Students, in which he clearly stated that it is necessary to use Marx's "materialistic view of history" to observe human society, which is the earliest batch of documents that spread Marxism in China's May Fourth period, and its rubbing manuscripts are exhibited in this exhibition.
03 The first party group in Nanjing, the Puzhen Group of the Communist Party of China, was established
The Jinpu Railway was built in 1908 and opened to traffic in 1912.
At that time, the Pukou area became a gathering place for industrial workers in Nanjing, laying the foundation for the rise of the workers' movement. In June 1922, Wang Hebo joined the Communist Party of China, and then led the railway workers to establish the first Chinese communist organization in Nanjing, the Puzhen Group of the Communist Party of China, together with Wang Zhenyi and other CCP members.
The exhibition introduces the deeds of Wang Hebo, the main leader of the early CPC, including his certificate of revolutionary martyrs and autobiographical manuscripts, vividly showing Wang Hebo's glorious journey of struggle and sacrifice to realize the communist ideal.
In February 1923, the Puzhen Group of the Communist Party of China, headed by Wang Hebo, led a massive strike by railway and Port workers in Puzhen and Pukou. Later, due to the betrayal of traitors, Wang Hebo was arrested and killed in Beijing in 1927.
04 Liangpu Workers' Movement – The first large-scale revolutionary movement led by the local organization of the Communist Party of China in Nanjing
In the early days of the founding of the party, although the number of communist party members in Nanjing was small, the party organizations actively publicized the party's program and policies, led the people of Nanjing to participate in the struggle against imperialism and feudalism, and became the leading core of the revolutionary struggle of the people in Nanjing. On February 9, 1923, the Puzhen Party Group headed by Wang Hebo organized and led the railway and port workers in Puzhen and Pukou to hold a huge strike against the unjustified dismissal of workers by the Pukou Port Office and in solidarity with the strike struggle of the Beijing-Hankou Railway Federation of Trade Unions.
05 The First Congress of the Communist Party of China in Nanjing
On December 4, 1927, the Nanjing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China held its first congress on a hill near Puzhen, attended by 25 delegates and members of the municipal party committee, and the meeting was presided over by Sun Jinchuan. The congress listened to the report on party affairs, discussed the "Resolution on the Current Situation in China and the Tasks of the Communist Party" of the Provisional Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, and decided to make armed insurrection the focus of the current work in accordance with the urgent resolution of the Jiangsu Provincial CPC Committee on organizing the province's riot plan.

06 The local organization of the Communist Party of China in Nanjing that does not fall
In the initial period of the party and the period of the great revolution, Jiangsu was an important area for our party's activities. As a pioneer city for the spread of Marxism, Nanjing is also one of the regions where the revolutionary struggle is most intense and cruel.
From 1927 to 1934, the local organization of the CCP in Nanjing suffered many damages, but then it was constantly rebuilt and persevered in the struggle.
The destruction of the CCP's nanjing local organization for the first time was linked to Chiang Kai-shek's and Wang Jingwei's successive betrayal of the revolution and the wanton massacre of communists. On April 10, 1927, the Nanjing Prefectural Committee of the Communist Party of China held a meeting at No. 10 Dasha Hat Lane, and Xie Wenjin, secretary of the Nanjing Prefectural Committee of the Communist Party of China, and ten other comrades were arrested and secretly killed a few days later.
Then, from 1927 to 1934, in just seven years, a number of heads of the local organization of the CCP in Nanjing were appointed in danger, and from their appointment to their arrest until their deaths, the longest was only one and a half years, and the shortest was only 34 days. Knowing that the dangers ahead are rife, he still has no remorse.
Miao Hui, deputy director of the Recruitment and Research Department of the Party History Work Office of the Nanjing Municipal Cpc Committee, said: "On the way to Report on work in Shanghai, Yun Yutang was arrested with his wife Li Wen because of betrayal by traitors, and then died in Shanghai Longhua. At the time of the sacrifice, his wife Li Wen was still pregnant, and it can be said that the family died in Longhua, Shanghai. Li Jiping was only 22 years old at the time of his death, and he was also the shortest-serving person. ”
After being destroyed again and again, the local organization of the COMMUNIST Party in Nanjing continued to rebuild and persist in the struggle. The outstanding elements of the Communist Party of China have always gone forward and followed suit in a dangerous environment unimaginable to ordinary people.
07 The Power of Faith – Struggle in Prison
After the defeat of the Great Revolution, in order to consolidate their rule and suppress the revolutionary movement, the Kuomintang reactionaries imprisoned a large number of captured Communists in the detention center of the Capital Garrison Headquarters, the detention center of the Gendarmerie Headquarters, the Jiangsu First Prison, and the Central Military Prison.
The Communists represented by Deng Zhongxia and Yun Daiying defended their lofty beliefs with their blood and lives.
Tao Zhu, Qian Ying, and other communists, with the optimistic spirit of "for revolutionaries, going to prison is to rest and study," endured hardships and persevered, and were later rescued from prison by the party, continued to struggle, and marched toward victory.
08 The mainstay of the National War of Resistance
After the "July 7 Incident" in 1937, the all-out War of Resistance broke out.
The Communist Party of China held high the banner of the Anti-Japanese National United Front and promoted the second cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party. The party led the people of Nanjing to persist in the anti-Japanese struggle in the center of Japanese and puppet rule, actively developed the organization, and stood strong in the surrounding anti-Japanese base areas, and the New Fourth Army became the mainstay of the War of Resistance in central China.

"The Right Way in the World is Vicissitudes", from Chairman Mao Zedong's "Seven Laws : The People's Liberation Army Occupies Nanjing". When General Secretary Xi Jinping visited the "Road to Rejuvenation" exhibition in 2012, he said, "Today's Chinese nation can be described as 'the right way in the world is vicissitudes'. Since the beginning of reform and opening up, we have summed up historical experience, made continuous and arduous explorations, and finally found the correct path to realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and achieved results that have attracted worldwide attention. This path is socialism with Chinese characteristics. ”
