Since ancient times, the relationship between the Son of Heaven and his courtiers has always been contemplated. During the reign of Ming Taizu Zhu Yuanzhang, a number of ministers were almost killed; after The Song Taizu Zhao Kuangyin ascended the throne, he released his military power with a glass of wine, which also completely bent the backbone of the Song Dynasty's military generals; even Li Shimin, who had always been known for his benevolence and righteousness, during his reign, Li Jing, a generation of military gods, could only live in the house and keep silent.

However, in history, there was a pair of monarchs who were highly trusted, and with the full cooperation of the two, the situation was stable and the world was clear. They were, Wu Zetian, the female emperor of Wuzhou, and Di Renjie, the famous minister.

For Di Renjie, there is no doubt that the most important Bole in his life is Wu Zetian.

As early as the beginning of Wu Zetian's claim to the throne, although Di Renjie had a rich resume and good political achievements, he had been released from Beijing and did not receive much attention, and even because of the controversy over political affairs, he provoked Zhang Guangfu, the current chancellor, and was belittled.

It was not until Wu Zetian officially became emperor that he finally fulfilled his long-cherished wish in life and was awarded the official position of Pingzhangshi of Theo Fengge Luantai, thus becoming an extremely popular subject and becoming a zaifu of the dynasty. When appointing Di Renjie as chancellor, Wu Zetian personally summoned him and asked him, "You made very good achievements when you were an official in Runan, but someone maliciously slandered you, do you want to know who it is?"

After hearing this, Di Renjie performed a ceremony without humility, and then bowed his hand and said, "If Your Majesty thinks that the subject is at fault, the subject will change it; if His Majesty feels that what the subject has done is not wrong, it is the luck of the subject, and the subject does not want to know who says bad things about me, nor does he regard him as an enemy, but will regard him as a friend."

After hearing this, Wu Zetian appreciated it more and more.

Immediately afterward, Di Renjie and the others were targeted by villains, framed by the cool official Lai Junchen, slandered as intending to rebel, and arrested and imprisoned on the spot. In order to escape the torture of Lai Junchen, Di Renjie confessed to his slander. After obtaining Di Renjie's confession, Lai Junchen fabricated a physical evidence and prepared to inform Wu Zetian and convict Di Renjie and others of the death penalty.

Fortunately, Wu Zetian was wise and divine, and he felt that there were many things involved and that there were strange things, so he personally inquired about the case. Di Renjie was also able to escape the disaster and was thrown out of Beijing by means of protection. Later, the court repeatedly wrote to di Renjie to be executed, and even Wu Zetian's nephew Wu Chengsi the Prince of Wei requested that Di Renjie be killed. But although there were more than one twist and turn, Wu Zetian did not agree once.

After the Khitan rebellion, Di Renjie, who served as the assassin of Wei Prefecture, was rewarded one after another for his meritorious guarding, not only was given a purple robe and a turtle belt, but eventually became the prime minister of the Wu Dynasty again.

In 700 AD, Wu Zetian inspected the Sanyang Palace, and all the civil and military officials accompanied him, but in the end, among the hundred officials, only Di Renjie was rewarded with a mansion. The grace they received can be seen.

In the same year, at the age of seventy-one, Di Renjie died of illness at home. When Wu Zetian learned the news, he deeply regretted it and stopped for three days.

After Di Renjie's death, his son served him with filial piety, and when he was sorting out Di Renjie's relics, he suddenly found a twist.

This recital was written just after Di Renjie was falsely accused of rebellion, and how difficult it was for him to even escape from the hands of the cool officials, so he specially wrote to Wu Zetian to express his gratitude. In this regard, Wu Zetian only replied with eight words: "The matter of the court, and the qing push the heart."

It is precisely because of the "pushing the heart" of the monarch that although the Wu Dynasty is not perfect, it also prospers, and this pair of famous female emperors and prime ministers has also been passed down through the ages.
