Among them, the southern pine tooth beetle and the Himalayan wood beetle are quarantine pests prohibited by the state, in order to prevent the spread of the epidemic, the Shunde Inspection and Quarantine Bureau has strictly required enterprises to remove the logs in strict accordance with the regulations. The main hosts of Himalayan wood beetles are pine plants such as pinus longifolia, pinus breis, and Pinus tabulaeformis in North America.
In the first seven months of this year, the number of imported timber at the Shunde Leliu port reached 12.013 million cubic meters, and the source of timber was from 5 countries and regions, with more than 6 types. In order to effectively do a good job in the national biosecurity work, the Shunde Leliu Port intercepted a total of 112 batches of harmful organisms that endangered the national forestry ecological environment in the first seven months.
