The exhibits of the 10th China Flower Expo set up a total of 11 categories including bonsai, cut flowers, ornamental fish, etc., and 70 ornamental fish varieties selected from nine provinces and cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Fujian participated in the competition. Shanghai is the cradle of China's modern ornamental fish industry. In order to show the style of Haipai ornamental fish in front of the national audience, the Municipal Agricultural and Rural Affairs Committee has actively prepared from 2020 to collect exhibits from a number of ornamental fish enterprises and institutions in the city. After many field visits, visits and on-site comprehensive evaluation, in the end, Shanghai Yunlin Biotechnology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Pudong Tuanjin Agricultural Investment Co., Ltd., stood out and became the exhibitor of ornamental fish exhibits and exhibition facilities at this Flower Expo.
In terms of the selection of ornamental fish species and the cultivation of exhibiting fish, the Municipal Agricultural and Rural Committee has strict requirements for exhibitors, checks layer by layer, and selects exhibits from the two perspectives of Chinese tradition and Shanghai culture. Finally, seven goldfish varieties, including "Dragon Eye Butterfly Tail", "Dan Feng" and "Blister Eye", which represent the improvement of traditional goldfish varieties by the modern goldfish industry, "Phoenix Tail High Head" and "Lion Head", which represent the improvement of traditional goldfish varieties, and "Liu Jin" and "Short-tailed Lion", which represent the modern lifestyle, were selected to participate in the competition. Each species of participating fish is pre-cultivated, from which individuals with good status and good performance are selected to participate, and sufficient reserve fish are prepared to ensure the display effect.
At this year's Flower Expo, the big group of goldfish in Pudong, Shanghai, made its debut as the "tuanjin" brand and won the honor of the Shanghai pavilion, but also opened up a new road for the development of pudong aquatic products represented by the large group of goldfish. Through the national platform of the Flower Expo, the development achievements of Shanghai as the cradle of China's modern ornamental fish industry in modern urban fisheries are demonstrated, the influence of Shanghai ornamental fish in the country is enhanced, and the aquatic products of Shanghai actively respond to changes in the situation under the objective conditions of rising environmental costs and limited aquaculture resources, give full play to the local advantages of science and technology and culture, develop urban leisure fisheries, and explore a new type of aquatic development path of industrial integration.
