Xiagaodian Village is located in the southwest of Mile City, the town of Inspection and Inspection, beautiful mountains and rivers, cultural landscapes, natural landscapes into one, Yi compatriots have lived here for about 600 years.
Lower Gaodian North Pillow Xuanwu Mountain, East Of Qinglong Mountain, Southeast Tiger Mountain, Southwest Lion Mountain. Southwest Lion Mountain cliff painting, the painting style is clumsy and rough, is the Yi ancestors of the sacrifice of the rock god map; the north of the village Xuanwu Mountain, the trees directly into the cave roof, such as green umbrella covered in the cave, the cave shape of the strange shape of the stalactites, a variety of strange and confusing legends interpreted here; the east of the village is the Fan ancestral tomb outside the village of Shanggaodian, built in the first year of the Qing Xuan reunification (1909), the inscription records the source of the Fan family and the life deeds of the leader Fan Shichang.
Xiagaodian Village is a natural ecological village with good preservation and inheritance of Yi (Azhe) culture, the village has completely preserved the Bimo scriptures, ancient cliff paintings, Azhe dragon sacrifices, hand embroidery, Azhe song and dance, Azhe costume culture, in 2006 was listed as the first batch of provincial intangible cultural heritage protection list in Yunnan Province - "Yi (Azhe) Traditional Culture Protection Area".

Ajar sacrifices dragons
The Yi (Azhe) people believe that the dragon is a sacred totem for human reproduction. Gaodian Village, Inspector Ofe City, holds dragon sacrifices every year on the first and second days of the first lunar month of the lunar calendar. On the first day of the first month of the second month of the lunar calendar, "sacrifice to the dragon". The men of the whole village went to Longshan to kill pigs and sacrifice dragons, praying for the male dragon to bless the safety of the whole village, the grain was abundant, and the women avoided; the second day of the first month of the second month of the lunar calendar " sacrificed the mother dragon ", called "female sacrifice dragon". This night is the day when the male dragon and the female dragon meet, and the female dragon is welcomed into the village. The content and form of sacrifice contain the cultural characteristics of the ancient matrilineal clan and are one of the important carriers of the traditional culture of the Yi (Azhe).
The earthen palm house is very special
Stone as the base, mud as the wall, wood as the pillar, grass as the top, coupled with the unique house building technology, the formation of the earth palm house. Most of the earthen palm houses are bungalows, some of which are two or three floors, most of which are built in arid and rainy alpine mountains and river valleys, warm in winter and cool in summer, good fireproof performance, very practical. The earthen palm houses are layered, concentrated and contiguous, back to the mountain and the river, the walls of the whole village houses are connected to the walls, and the roof of the next house is the courtyard of the previous family, layer by layer, directly to the top of the mountain, which is very distinctive.
"Azhe Dancing Music" is very unique
The Yi people can sing and dance, and "Azhe Dancing Music" has a unique characteristic, which originates from the love story of Aizuo and Aisha, the ancestors of Azhe, and there are "big jumps" and "small jumps". The four strings, three strings, erhu, flute, and wooden leaves sounded, and Ah Zhe jumped up. The man's pedaling is strong, and the woman's paddling is soft. When changing from small jumps to big jumps, the rhythm is cheerful and warm, and the shouts of "Aisa and Aisha" are also higher and louder, thick and profound. At the end, there is also a leading singer, a man to a woman, men to women, and dance and sing, such as drunk, jumping from sunrise to sunset, the moonrise jumping to the moonset is too early, not tired and non-stop.
The Ajabima Sutra
The "Bimo Sutra" of the Yi (Azhe), known locally as the "White Horse Sutra", is mainly spread in Wushan Township, Mile City, Inspection And Inspection Division Town, and other areas where the Yi (Azhe) people live. The main representative works are "Alpine Soul Summoning Sutra", "Soul Summoning Sutra", "Sacrifice of Stars and Nerves", "Sacrifice of Dragons", "Prayer and Protection of Blessings", "Sending Fire Nerves", "Origin of Marriage" and so on. It involves life etiquette, wedding and funeral customs, religious sacrifices, history, astronomy, geography, philosophy, ethics, etc., and records the origin of nationalities, migration, ethics and morality, philosophical thoughts, life etiquette and customs.
Costumes are varied
Yi (Azhe) men and women from young to old, dress is changeable. The skillful locals embroidered all the good things in the world into their clothes and made different costumes according to different genders and different ages. For example, the birthday star and tiger head made of silver for boys; various straw shoes, embroidered cloth shoes, melon skin hats, and black cloth bun heads for adult men; tiger head hats for girls; black twisted crotch pants for girls; embroidered waistbands, silver bubbles, streamers, and silver tiger heads for young women; women's half-inlays (called "half-cut clothes"), full inlays (called "mother's clothes") and so on. Each garment is handmade, unique and colorful.
Lion Rock Cliff Painting
The ancient Lion Mountain Cliff Painting, also known as the Great Cliff Cliff Painting, is located on a stone rock 800 meters west of Gaodian Village in The Patrol Department of Mile City, Honghe Prefecture, and records the life scenes of the ancients. The front of the cliff is curved, about 150 meters long, suspended and concave, the left version can see two gourd-shaped copper drums, there are graphic distributions around, the middle version has arrows, animals and other shapes, and the right version is dominated by rough drawings of arrows and human figures. The painting is simple and rugged, and it is a map of the sacrificial rock god of the ancestors of the Yi people.
XiaGaodian Village seems to have stopped time in the past, using objects, languages, inheritors, and cultural relics to silently convey the splendid Azhe culture to the world.
