From 1988 to 1993, Tan Longru, the general manager of Shanghai China Travel Service, maintained a 5-year relationship with his unmarried female driver, Wang Hui, and caused Wang Hui to become pregnant and have an abortion twice. Later, because Wang Hui had been asking for marriage, the married Tan Longru, in order to maintain his reputation and remove trouble, together with the driver Jin Jian'an, killed Wang Hui and threw his head and body into the sea, which was extremely cruel.
I had planned to comb through the detailed information I could find in the case, but it turned out that the public reports circulating were very rare and few. There is only one longer in-depth story called "Sin-Ridden", written in 1998, from the 12th issue of Archive Spring and Autumn magazine in 2012. There is also a 1996 film called "Sin" adapted from this case, which can still be seen on the B station.

Born in 1948, Tan Longru was the proud son of heaven since childhood. In elementary school, he was the captain of Yanping Road Primary School, and when he was in middle school, he was a student of the 67th class of Shanghai's key middle school, Shixi Middle School. According to the students who talked about him, he has been a "small cadre" held by teachers and schools since he was a child, and he is very conceited and wants face.
Tan Longru's career has been quite smooth after joining the work, and in the early days, he went all the way from the grassroots level to a cadre at the Long March Farm in Shanghai, and also met his wife here. In 1979, Tan Longru attended the National Congress of Intellectuals and Youth, and not only participated in the symposium held by the Politburo, but also drafted the "Letter to the National Intellectuals." Tan Longru walked all the way to the clouds, and when he was in his 30s, he was transferred to the Farm Bureau as the party secretary.
In February 1988, the 40-year-old Tan Longru was promoted again, and before he became the general manager of agriculture, industry and commerce, he had hepatitis A. During the recuperation period at home, colleagues visited her, including Wang Hui, a 31-year-old female driver. My wife is cultured and talented, was the captain of the Shanghai women's junior basketball team when she was a student, won the national championship, and won the first place in the Luwan District Mathematics Competition. After the first relationship, Wang Hui became pregnant and had an abortion in January and June 1989.

Soon after, when Wang Hui was not at home, she made an appointment with Tan Longru to negotiate at his house. First of all, he said that he had to cut off one of Tan's hands before breaking off the relationship, and he didn't dare to talk about it, and Wang Hui offered to let her poke three knives. Tan said in the confession: "That day, I wore a T-shirt, I stretched out my left arm, tightened my deltoid muscles, and let the king poke. Unexpectedly, Wang Dongzhen took out a fruit knife that had been prepared long ago, and stabbed my right arm three times, one of which was deeper, and the blood also flowed out. The king poked me and whisked away. Tan Long Ru originally thought that the price of these three knives could be exchanged for peace after that, but it was not long before Wang Hui came to Tan Ru Long and said that she was pregnant again. From 1989 to 1993, Wang Hui and Tan Longru clashed continuously. He has been to Tan's house several times, and has quarreled and fought with his wife twice.
Tan's classmate revealed that at that time, Wang Hui called Tan Longru at seven o'clock every morning, and he had to go out every morning to answer the phone. Tan Longru did not want his wife to know, and once wanted to pay Wang Hui to travel around the world.
In October 1989, Wang Hui went to the Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection to file a complaint, but the next day she overturned it.
In 1993, Wang Hui repeatedly called his wife's work unit to expose the issues he was talking about. Tan Longru, in the face of Wang Hui's behavior, once threatened: "You don't want to ruin me, so that everyone will not benefit." By the summer of 1993, according to Tan's classmates, Tan Longru, who had a smooth career at that time, seemed to have encountered another major opportunity and had the possibility of being elected vice mayor.
But Wang Hui pestered endlessly, and several times she wanted to make trouble with the government department. Distressed, Tan Longru told his relationship with Wang Hui to jin Jian'an, the driver at the time. Jin Jian'an and Wang Hui are similar in origin, and their family and academic qualifications are not ideal. He followed Tan Longru for many years, and during his tenure, he received a salary increase and a house, and he was loyal to Tan, and Tan also regarded him as an iron brother and trusted him very much. Tan Longru confided his inner pain to Jin Jian'an, perhaps with the intention of borrowing Jin's hand to get rid of Wang Hui. Around August 1993, Wang Hui received several telephone intimidations from Tan Longru's appointees, and according to colleagues, Jin Jian'an had rushed to her unit to threaten.
Tan Longru's series of actions did not seem to scare Wang Hui, who was always entangled. One day, Tan Longru read a message in the newspaper, mentioning that many people were swept away by the tide and lost their lives while watching the tide in Xiaoshan, Zhejiang Province, and there was nowhere to find their bodies. Tan was inspired to think of killing Wang Hui and throwing him into the sea to destroy the body. He told Jin Jian'an his idea, and this time, Jin Jian'an did not shirk.

In early October 1993, Tan Longru and Jin Jian'an went to Haiyan, Zhejiang Province, twice to observe the crime site and check the tide situation. They set the date of the crime late at night on October 16.
Not knowing what signal Tan Longru gave, Wang Hui seemed to think that Tan was finally going to marry himself. On the 14th, she wrote a letter to Tan and prepared 4 photos, a household registration book and an ID card. On the morning of the 15th, Wang Hui asked her sister to send the letter to the office of the talk. In the afternoon, Tan and Wang Hui spoke on the phone, and the two agreed to meet on the evening of the 16th. On the evening of the 15th, Jin Jian'an came to Tan's house and determined with Tan Longru that the action plan would not change.
This murderous plan, which tan Longru seemed almost perfect, was as follows: On the evening of the 16th, Jin Jian'an first drove a Santana to Jiaxing Railway Station, waiting at the exit at about 23:00. At 20 o'clock, the tanyue wang set off from Shanghai to Jiaxing, and after leaving the station, he took Jin's car and went straight to the crime site they had already observed. According to Wang Hui's sister later, on the 16th, her sister was in a good mood and washed a lot of clothes during the day.
At about 7 p.m. on the 16th, Tan Longru ate dinner at home and met with Wang Hui at the southern end of the Jiangsu North Road Bridge. Wang Hui was a little excited, because she had accepted her letters and documents, and she thought that in the near future, the two could finally get married. Tan Longru took Wang On the pretext of going to Jiaxing to talk to Wang Hui and took Wang on a train to Jiaxing. Out of the waiting room, Jin Jian'an was already waiting outside. Tan Longru took Wang Hui to the car driven by Jin and drove to the place where the crime had been investigated, near the Chaoyin Pavilion in Haiyan County. In the car, Wang Hui rested her head on Tan Longru and took a nap. At the beach, according to the talk, the car stopped, but at this time Wang Hui had not woken up. But according to the information on the official website of the Shanghai Local Chronicle, Tan began to violently strangle Wang Hui's neck and cover her mouth and nose during the drive. Wang Hui began to struggle, and Jin Jian'an stopped the car at this time, stepped forward to assist, and held Wang's hands. Wang Hui died of mechanical asphyxiation.
Tan described the crime in his transcript: "I was afraid to move, my people were trembling, and my teeth were trembling up and down. Thinking that there is no way out is really painful. I finally reached out my evil hand, put on my gloves, and covered the king's face with force. Wang struggled for two or three minutes without moving. Then, I took off her pants, cut off her head, threw her head into the sea, and then threw the body into the sea with Jin Jian'an. The time was one or two o'clock in the morning on October 17, 1993. ”
Tan Longru, who killed Wang Hui, had lived a peaceful life for a while, and in his opinion, the body had sunk into the sea, and the head and body were not in one place, and there was no proof of death.
On October 19, residents of Haiyan saw a human head on the beach and immediately reported it. According to information provided by another student, it was rumored that the head was found by the tide watchers in the gap of the bridge pier when the Tide was high. But when the police arrived, the heads had been washed away by the sea. On October 27, the headless body reappeared on the beach, this time brought back by the police. Although the Haiyan police conducted an investigation, the case was temporarily shelved due to the unknown source of the body.
On November 19, Tan Longru was summoned to a hotel for the first time by the police. He was not flustered, first denying his relationship with Wang Hui, and then talking to the police about his glorious past. The interrogation, which was not formal, lasted for two days and two nights, and there was no relent in the discussion. At this time, the police already had two tapes provided by Wang Hui's family that recorded Wang Hui's quarrels and private conversations with Tan, and the conversation did not know that he had long become the focus of the police's suspicions, and did not throw out this important physical evidence for the time being, just to give him a chance to take the initiative to confess.
On December 2, Tan Longru was formally detained and summoned by the police. The police also spoke to Tan's wife, but she denied Talking about her relationship with Wang Hui.
After another two days and two nights of interrogation, Tan Longru still did not admit his relationship with Wang Hui. On December 8, Xu's interrogation for several consecutive days destroyed the psychological defense line of the talk, and his speech began to loosen somewhat, and the police threw out the tape at this time, and his defense line completely collapsed. By 9:30 a.m. in December, Tan Longru explained the whole process of the crime and also confessed to the accomplice Jin Jian'an.
Shanghai police rushed to Haiyan and extracted the fingerprints and hairs of the headless body, which were identified as consistent with Wang Hui.
On May 16, 1994, the Shanghai Intermediate People's Court sentenced Tan Longru to death for intentional homicide and deprived him of his political rights for life, and Jin Jian'an to life imprisonment for intentional homicide and deprivation of political rights for life.
Tan Longru's classmates said that on the day of Tan's execution, Tan's wife brought a group of people to prepare to go to the "law robbery field", and cried a mess after failing.

In the memories of tan classmates, one is an intellectual and enterprise boss who is good-looking, one meter tall and eight meters tall and talks about Sven, and the other is a female driver with ordinary appearance and low education and origin. Perhaps because there are huge differences in these aspects, many people regret the talk after the incident. They said

The film "Sin", which was adapted from the event, was released in 1996. The film also intersects with the well-known case of Yang Yuxia's sulfuric acid disfigurement case in Shanghai that I wrote about in the 90s (click to view), in which the radio that the male protagonist listened to twice while driving was discussing the Yang case. Yang's case was in full swing at the time and was eventually tried in public and sentenced to death. And this case, however, is so sparsely documented.
"Sin" starred Zhou Lijing and Jin Qiaoqiao. The main line of the story is basically the same as the real events, and the male protagonist is also a young and promising leading cadre, but has made some adaptations in the encounter with the female driver and the process of killing.
Jin Qiaoqiao, who was in her early 20s in the movie, is different from Wang Hui in the description of tan, she is very beautiful, when the male and female protagonists first met, she behaved as the male protagonist said" as "wild and difficult to tame", and the setting of the character traits seems to be to allude to the unstable and paranoid personality of the characters in the follow-up.
In the 1 hour and 30 minutes of the movie, only the first 20 minutes or so can feel the emotional tension between the two people. This extramarital affair began with the male protagonist's car and the female protagonist's transport truck on the road, and the female protagonist's driving skills were excellent, attracting the attention of the male protagonist. The female driver not only tried to destroy the man's family, but also designed a businessman to send her money without the man's knowledge, which was used to blackmail the man for corruption. And the male protagonist is not premeditated, but forced to be helpless and passionately killed.

The subject of this sentence is "she", that is, the female driver, but although the female driver in the movie is barely worthy of making money, she is the victim of "killing". An evil woman who seems to turn her hand over to the clouds and rain in the film's promotional slogan is the object of murder in the story.
