Due to the frequent occurrence of recent safety accidents, starting today (September 15), travel agencies under the Bali Branch of the Indonesian Association of Tourism and Travel Agencies will suspend Chinese tourists from visiting the "Devil's Tears".
Earlier this month, the Chinese Consulate General in Denpasar, Indonesia, held a special coordination meeting on tourism safety to discuss solutions to the recent frequent casualties at the "Devil's Tears" attraction on Lembongan Island in southeastern Bali.
会议决定，自9月15日起，直至安全措施和设施全部到位，印尼旅游和旅行社协会巴厘省分会下属旅行社暂不安排中国游客前往“恶魔眼泪”，并呼吁“自由行”的中国游客切勿前往。
According to the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in August, three foreign tourists died in the "Devil's Tears" on Lembongan Island in Indonesia, including one Chinese citizen killed and injured. It is not a tourist attraction, and there are no safety protection facilities, and only warning signs are set up on the shore.
In order to pursue the photo effect, tourists often walk close to the cliff edge, and the large waves that are caught off guard often shoot down or even sweep away tourists.
The local tides and surges are dangerous, and the power of the tide to suck back is huge, and once tourists are caught in the sea, it is very dangerous.
